Thanks Terry. Thanks Mike. Mike, I may have made a mistake with the 50's instead of 45's. They are already on the car so they are staying till next change. I have been "crunching" tire numbers for about 2 weeks. I thought the 50 was right. The 245's JUST make clearance in the back. I am putting the 225/50/16 in the front as you (and some others) suggested. I think Bob Campen has the 50's in the back and said they worked well. My paperwork is screwy too. I have info that says I am supposed to have 240/55/390's on the car and instead there was 220/55/390's on all 4 corners. I'll put up new pictures in a few days. |

Barney: FYI, to keep the "right" ratio of total height when you "upsize" stock rear 16-inch tire size, you'd go from the standard 225/50-16's to 245-45/16's, not 50's. You're a little higher than stock now, but maybe that's what you wanted. On the fronts, you go from the standard 205/55-16's to an upsize of 225/50-16's (the original rear tire size).

Just wanted to share a picture of what the old wheels and the new wheels look like at the same time (thought it might be a cool picture before I put the fronts on). The new wheels are really nice. 245/50/16 on back.
