i know this is a bit off topic, but the current issue of Top Gear has them testing an Enzos 0-60, with a ferrari test driver running it. They had to use two cars because the first one would not go into "L1" and Ferrari provided another car. Even with the new car, they could not get it below 4 seconds. |

I always consider Motor Trends test numbers to be the very BEST you will ever see. Other magazines (C&D) average their top 3 runs, and I'm sure there are other ways to do it. As was mentioned, it seems the Motor Trend always has the very lowest numbers, and I suspect that replicating them would be VERY difficult. They throw caution to the wind and get the MOST out of the car. I don't know if they "powershift" or not, but I would not be suprised. |

Lou, From what I have heard, there is no uniform way in which the magazines (and manufactures for that matter) test vehicals (specfically 0-60 and 1/4 mile times). For example, some will use the most effctive method (maybe 5,000rpm clutch drops for instance) for a given car when testing 0-60. Others will use a uniform method that may be good for certain cars, but worse for others. |

Motor Trend very frequently gets lower 0-60 times than anyone else. They posted 3.9 for the 360 where R&T, C&D and even Ferrari Spa reports the mid 4's. Anyone else notice this? |

Could someone please scan me that article of the F50 on Motor Trend. (this magazine was made in 1996 or 1998? ..I dunno) I know on that test ...they did 0-60 mph in 3.6 sec with the F50. Thanks in advance! [email protected] |
