Loyd, I just blew an oil return line on my 355. The dealer wanted $750 for a 18 inch line. There are plenty of manufacturers that fabricate these and A/C lines. Pretty generic stuff. |

A rat decided that he wanted some Italian food and decided to eat a hole in the AC line which runs from the dehydration filter to the condenser. I only wish I would have found his gassed out carcass in the car. We left the garage door open at the bottom for our old dog to go under and my wife had stored some bird feed in the garage in an area near the front of the car. This probably attracted the rat bastard. My poor old dog was of no assistance and the last thing I need is a cat climbing on the car. Therefore, I find myself in the position of Roster Cogburn, who had a rat after his corn dodgers and declared his need for a rat writ writ for a rat. I think Ferrari wants over $600 for a $50 replacement hose so I am considering having a shop fabricate a replacement using superior R134 hosing or getting an Aeroquip steel braided (rat and other varmit proof) AC hose. I just posted my request for info on the Aeroquip hoses on the tech section and await everyone's thoughts. |
