Jason.,
Coming out of a 360 I don't think you will be happy with a Mas.

Jason, I hope your 360 get a good home in the UK. You have some time before getting the replacement car. Why not sample one or two Ferraris in the mean time? A 12-cylinder car would be nice experience.

Guys,
Thanks for all the kind words.....It was a pretty sh*tty day yesterday. Marty, I'm not sure what I'm going to get whilst I wait..... Certainly not a 360....might get a maserati, or maybe a Porsche (I swore I'd never buy a Pcar...Never say never!!)

The car arrives back in the UK in about 4 weeks...I need to take a trip home around about that time, so I'm tempted to take it for a final blast :-) I prefer the weather here in LA, but in terms of sheer driving pleasure, English country roads are sensational!

Dave
You can bring a car into the US under a temporary Import for 12 months (you can't be a US citizen)

What is the period of time allowed before a conversion is to be completed in the USA?

Jason,
Sad to hear of the news... hopefully, you'll be able to find a temporary replacement while you wait for the new car, and enjoy the roads of So Cal!! :-)

I know how you feel, I have got lots of memory with this baby too :-(

But .............................

Jason,
That really hurts.I know how much you loved that car.Are you really going to go Ferrariless until the 360 replacement comes out? ('05-'06)or even '07.
Regards,
Marty

Sad Day Jason.

You will be getting another one soon though.

You could always buy a beater 355 or Lamborghini ntil your new car comes.

PSK,
It's a special product by 3M...It's breathable, it only works in one direction, so you have to make sure that you've got it the right way round...The product that you're talking about is called cargo drypak...whilst it lowers the containers' humidity level, it won't stop it from getting wet due to 'container rain'

Just a small comment, but you should never cover a car in plastic (or anything you do not want to rust) as this causes condensation to build up under the cover and accelerates RUST.

A metal object has a very bad time inside a humidy generating container ... so best to minimalise the time.

I believe you can buy some sort of powered that acts as a dehumidifier (sp?) and can make the environment heaps better.

Note car covers that are made out of plastic are rubbish ... and the only place for them is the trash.

Cheers, and I hope you enjoy your next Ferrari as much, if not more than this one.

Pete
ps: BTW I have just transported my Alfa GTV from NZ to Australia in a container and it was covered in a plastic tarp (because we did not know where it was going to be stored when outside the container, and we did not have a better cover :-( ) and it was real damp when I got it. Infact it had mildue (sp again?) growing on the roof!

Thus would have been better without the cover ... but we live and learn.

I know that feeling of having those container doors close on you. Crappy feeling does not even begin to describe it. Sorry to hear.

Cheers

After 2.5 years of exquisite fun I said goodbye to my 360 today...I decided not to convert the car so it's going back to the UK to be sold (already have a buyer)....Watching the container doors close on the car for the final time is a pretty crappy feeling,

Whilst its just a car, it was my first Ferrari & I have so many amazing memories of good times. I have my name down for the 360 replacement but obviously that's some time off!!
