I tell ya, I have been personally burned at auctions and have heard too many stories. With no good means of a PPI, it can be very risky. Sure some well known and fully documented "Top" cars will bring huge money because buyers can be totally confident, but many production model cars sold at auction are shiny and clean dogs. Be careful.

This is very interesting and disappointing to me as it was on my short list...

Prancing Horse has reported that the Lussos have been tradng hands at $200-240k lately vs. the $130k of just a year ago.

Saw it. Liked it.Some of those auction results are still low enough to make my check writing finger twitch, but who knows how straight the cars really are.

In this months Sports Car Market (In which BTW there's a pic of my MK-IV in the article about Goodwood) it looks as if the market for top cars is moving up a bit. ie 427 Cobra with history 600K.
