I'm 348-less as it stands, Edward, and so I'd have none to use as stake in a race. Stock for stock, the 348 is quicker. I don't think either car (except yours?) is all that quick but both are fun street cars. Again, since Frank is after more room for his kids, the Mondial is a viable option and a trade worth considering, IMO.

Yeah I just emailed Edward about that, cause for goodness sakes, I can't picture my qv engine doing that.
I would keep the 348 Frank. You could pick up a relatively inexpensive, dare I say Porsche, I can't believe I just said get a Porsche, but I did. And you could keep the 348.

What the hell did you do to that engine 350hp?

Okay, you may win that race. Although I believe with the extra weight it may be the same.

Soooooooooooo, Tenney. The 348 is Quicker then a Mondial? So lets run for pinks, then I'll sell your 348 and buy two more mondials. By the way, I have room for four,,,,,, because, as you know, everybody wants a ride.

As I tell all my friends, I don't want a "better" Ferrari, I want MORE Ferraris.....

Just in case. Here is a link to a Mondial Conv. that I saw on eBay. The car is so reasonable priced that you can afford both!
I was thinking of buying this one.

Definitely NOT! That would be a downgrade.

The 348 is no doubt quicker but the Mondial runs well, too, and neither car is crazy fast. Unless you're giving it the business at the track any performance difference will probably seem pretty subtle anyway.

For the reason you state, a trade doesn't seem like a bad idea at all.

There are belts for 4 in a Mondial and there is no way to fit in a 5th, especially in a "T". Except for the T, they are slower, older and probably less reliable than your car. Never trade down as you will always be disappointed. I bought my Mondial QV Cab for the same reason you want one (I only have one child), but I hadn't tasted the superior fruit of the later two-seat models. It's still a Ferrari, though. I get plenty of fun out of it, but I have found that I like having my family along a lot more than they enjoy riding with me.

I have a 1994 348 Spider. It is in great condition with only 13,xxx miles. I have three small children(ages 3,5 and 7) and miss being able to carry them with me on Sunday drives. I am considering trading out of the 348 into a Mondial Cabriolet. What do you guys think ? Should I, or not ?
