If you take the time to search out a used with less than 500 miles, it is the way to go now. I bought my used 293 mile car 16 months ago and by doing the deal I established a relationship with the dealer. But a used one now and get on their 360 replacement list at the same time and you will be set. |

Was at my local dealer Saturday, not sure if this is the case everywhere but they stopped taking depsits for 360's 9 months ago. They told me that Ferrari has slowed prodution, due to economic reasons. I have an 01 coupe, and am waiting for a spider, but since I want a gear shift car the wait is longer. Seems 70% of the 360's are F1, I have an F1 now, bought it used paid what MSRP was when it was new, to me it was a good deal. Bill, I do not know what are you live in, but I considering the waiting lists (local dealer still has over 70 people waiting) , I'd say do what I did, buy a used 360, and establish a relationship with a dealer, it goes along way to getting a new car. |

Bill, The politics are definitely a reality. If you are a previous customer there is a much shorter (if any) wait time than for a first time customer. At my local dealer, I believe there is still a close to 3 year wait on a Modena 6 speed (F1 cars considerably less because of the build quantity) and much longer for a Spider, for which they stopped taking names on the "list" long ago. |

It shouldn't be that long of a waiting list now, but have you considered a used one? You can probably pick up a 2001 for around 130k and a 2002 for like 145k |

I would like to buy a new 03 360 Modena and I was just curious what the current waiting lists are like. I don't want to pay more than MSRP and want a 6spd. Any advise on which dealerships might have shorter wait lists. I would be a first time Ferrari buyer and have heard of a lot of "politics" involved. Is this hype or reality. Thanks in advance,Bill
