Buick, LOL a friend of mine with a Daytona has 2 GNXs, only + is they accelerate well, EVERYTHING else is a disaster or a styling nightmare on that car

If you think you got beat badly in the car show against a GNX, just try to out run one of them. That's one ass kicking V-6.

Rob,
Born and raised a Texan I know you will not ever win any car show in Texas that includes the muscle car crowd.

Like my two good neighbors who are NASCAR crazy, (not that there is anything wrong with that) go Ricky Rudd said when I mentioned that I was saving to buy a 328 Ferrari. "Why do you want to do that, those cars are expensive, costly to fix and break often. You should buy a Vette or muscle car for a lot less headache".

Its like trying to explain fine cigars to cigerette smokers justifying the cost\taste.

Where is that spell check when you need it?

I've been taking my little boy(8) to several of these shows, I always warn him he may not win anything. Although we have own every car show we have qualified for. He now has 3 plaques and one trophy.
I have been beaten by everything. Lately by 2 1958 thunderbirds. If you show up late after 10:00 you usually just get a sponsor's award. Show up early and the muscle car guys will vote you down every time. I can tell, they look at everyone else's car except mine. The visitors look at mine alot. I think the muscle club guy are just jealous. If you get jugded by the muscle cars guy s you will end up with w sponsors award, if you are judge by a team or by someone with any car knowledge you have a chance.
Alot do not know we drive hand made cars.
I have had several people come up and tell me I have the only real car at the show.
Some cars clubs dislike us so much they make us park in a different area during thier cruise in night. I don't care. I love taking the car out and showing it off. Telling people about it. Giving my kids rides. We love it.
Check ou this website

It's run out of Gulfport, MS and has all the car show and cruise in listed for about a 4 state area.

Ignorance is bliss. Not that there is anything wrong with liking American products, I love them and love to support our economy, but a 250 tdf (possibly my favorite ferrari) losing to a Camaro is definitely based on a lack of knowledge.

I went to a rural car show about two years ago with several of my friends from the FCA. I had a 1986 TR at the time and a friend of mine John brought his 250 tdf, a rare and valuable car. A 1967 Camaro won beating out my TR and John's tdf. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and to that crowd a million dollar tdf is just another foreign car.

I went to a local car show in Garland, TX. Typical parking lot affair with about 100 cars. Drink some beer, walk around, look at cars, and then entrants vote on their favorite in each class.

Some gorgeous cars... Cudas, Mach 1s, Cameros, Corvettes, and older classics. I entered the 80's class with my only competition being a 1982 Buick Riverea Grand National. No problem, I mean, my Ferrari had a crowd of 6-10 people for the entire show. This was a 1st place trophy for sure. How often do you see a Ferrari at a muscle car show? Well, I may have found out why you don't. Awards were announced and the Italian beauty found out she wasn't the vote of choice for the blue collar muscle car crowd.

September 8th, 2001 was the day I fought a Buick Grand National and lost. The next battle will be on my turf... Pebble Beach.
