I doubt it will pass cus I am sure that GM, Ford, Peugeout,FIAT etc have storng political Lobbyists in Brussels to keep this kind of silliness from becoming law |

C&D does not say this IS happening, only that it could. I do not keep up with EU politics very well, so I don't know if it has/will pass or not. |

But with the Ferrari-low windshield, I'm sure that a Ferrari front end would throw the (unlucky) pedestrian over the entire car. Does this meet the regulation? |

It isn't Euro industry pushing this, its the Europeon Union safty bureaucracy in Brussels. Our DOT and NTSB will not be outdown or far behind. |

To better "protect pedestrians" from going up over the hood onto the windshield, front ends will have a high hood and flat blunt fronts to push people aside! Starts in 2005 with full compliance by 2010. Good by to "swoopy" front ends? Wouldn't it be better to require airbag suits for pedestrians? See C&D June pg36. |
