Thanks guys. So I guess what I was told is correct. My Boxer is a Belgium market car that came from the factory with hex type lug nuts. |

>>>non vale per A-D-F-BR-B-NL-L Basically means: NOT valid for Austria, Germany, France, Brazil (?), Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg >>>"DK" instead of "BR". Denmark <--> Brazil Not entirely sure about the Brazil thing but the rest is correct. Jack |

The BB512 parts book shows the 3 ear nut; part numbers 110524(destro) and 110525 (sinistro)......right and left?....these are marked "Dado a gallettoni per ruota fusa lato destro.....(and)...sinistro", respectively. The note then states "non vale per A-D-F-BR-B-NL-L"to both parts....whatever that means!!!!! Next are part numbers 110526 and 110527....both marked "Dado ottagonale destro...(and)...sinistro", respectively. The note states "Vale per A-D-F-BR-B-NL-L", to both of these parts. The BB512i parts book also shows a picture of the 3 ear nut. The part numbers, notes, etc. are the same as in the BB512 parts book, with the exception of having the letters "DK" instead of "BR". I hope this makes sense. It appears that both where offered, depending on country....if one can make out the letters!!!!!!!!! |

Frank, I don't know about Belgium. I can tell you that the sales brochure for the BB512 and the Mel Nichols book on Boxers shows both hex and lug type nuts. I believe that if we had access to a parts manual, and I don't, it may show which markets had which. Maybe somebody with access to a parts manual could look it up for both BB512 and BB512i cars. |

I am aware that most Boxers came with the three earred lug nuts. I am also aware that the USA DOT conversion process required that they be replaced with hex type lug nuts for safety reasons. However, I have recently been told that markets other than the USA including Belgium also required the hex type lug nuts. Does anyone out there know if Belgium market Boxers had the three earred type lug nuts or the hex type ones? |
