I just got a '69 Daytona which just barely qualifies in the pre-'70 catagory I guess. If price/value was not a part of the equation I would rather have this car than any Ferrari made at any period after. Sure, If someone gave me an Enzo I would take it. Then I would sell it, buy the Daytona and use all that extra money to buy a competition Daytona to race as well!

Lawrence, Thank You. I have a friend that is a member of FChat. I've been watching for a while but never posted until today. Yes I do enjoy the topics of the Chat line, especially about women, Ferrari's and DADDY'S Money. Very cute. |

I like most all of them but the vintage stuff is my favorite. Its satisfying to me to know that while I'm enjoying the car, as a hobby, that its not depreciating and not eating much. |

Like most of us, I love them all. But I do prefer the older cars because they have an elegance about them that technology doesn't have. They were also unique to a greater degree than the cars that they had to compete with and are still very very special. Consider the fact that in 1959, Ferrari only made one car per work day all year. Less than 250 cars. When you work on them you can clearly see that they are hand made works of art. File marks on the chassis tubes are evident where welds were cleaned up, aluminum inner fenders have hammer marks on them and so on. The sounds that they make are music, chains whirring, valves clicking. Listen to the clock or the door shut. Certainly the new cars are wonderful but I will take a Ferrari 250, any 250, over any other car. Not that I miss my 250 or anything. MrC. |

I am with most in saying the new cars are awesome, but if I had to choose a driver it would be a 575m and if I had to choose a Ferrari to cruise with it would be a 275 gts or a 330 gts these cars look great and would be great to have for the weekends. Erik |

I adore 360s, but they will never have the character or rarity of a 275GTB.... Jordan |

My favorite Ferrari is 2001 or 2002 360. My second choice is probably a tie between a 328 and 308. |

All Ferrari's are beautiful and works of art. However, I favor the newer models with the technology. |

F40, 512TR, 550, 575 are cool but Ferrari built lots of great old cars too, I like almost all of them |

Older cars are timeless, I like them better in general although there are lots of exceptions. That 4 headlight monstrosity is bad. Some of the newer cars will become classics. The 308 will always look fantastic while the Testarossa may or may not eventually shed its dated look. Right now it's a little Star Wars (IMHO). The 550's should age well in spite of their relatively plain look as should the 360, but 30 years from now I bet the 308's sell for more. |

Aesthetics aside, I go by how the engine sounds. There is nothing more sexier than the engine sounds from the pre-70 Ferraris IMO as compared to the new ones today, unless you swap the exhaust for a tubi that is. If you have a chance to see the show Ferrari - Victory by Design those fantastic sounds bring shivers all over me. So yesterday for me! |

Sorry DES! Cant tell if you were joking or not in your post, but I happen to think the good old 246 Dino is one of the most gorgeous cars ever designed. I dont care if its a "Ferrari" or not, It was produced out of the factory and either way is simply gorgeous. I do agree with you though, that everyone has their own tastes...Although I like some of the new Ferraris, I would have to go with the older classic cars. Basically, I would take any Ferrari ever made if I could...except those Drogo cars... |

Steve, great question... i think most will say pre-'70s, like L. Wayne Ausbrooks - he's heavy into the vintage stuff... But there are a few who prefer the Ferraris of today - i'm definitely one of them... No matter the Ferrari era preference, i think everyone appreciates all the cars, from all the different years... Except for the Dino... Nobody likes the Dino... Hell, it's not even a Ferrari, at all...! |

Steve, for me that is an incredibly difficult question. I am a true, hardcore Ferrari nut. I like them ALL. There is not one Ferrari I do not love. If I had to choose, a 375 MM or a 250 LM really pumps my nads....but an F40 and an F50 also to it for me too. |

I just want to take a quick poll. Which do people like the most. The Ferrari's of today? Meaning the F-50,F-40,Modena,Spider and so on. not going back that far. Or the Ferrari's of yesterday? Like before 1970. |
