PSK, I like to look at Lancias when I want a headache. Open the hood and "WOW!!!...Cool!!!...WHY did they do that?!!!" But then again I'm a real novice so my complications and general "I don't get it"s are probably no biggie to most car nuts. Cheers |

v16s are not that rare Cadillac (sp ?, sorry) made a v16, Auto Union as you say built a v16 racing car, and also a v12. Some Italian/German or something supercar resently had a v16 engine. The famous or infamous 1.5lt v16 BRM of the 50s, and also the 3lt H16. Alfa Romeo also made a P3 with 2 engines ... thus effectively a 16 cylinder. Isn't the new Bugatti going to be 16 cylinders? If you are a techno nut then your excitement probably increases per cylinder. I myself love the 1.5 lt v16 BRM as the ultimate complicated nightmare. Pete |

I saw an engine just like that on display in the Dutch National Motor museum. The only difference was that they did have the actual car as well. |

A Marmon! I haven't seen even a pic of those in ages! Aren't these cars from the 1910s and 1920s? Auto Union also had V16s if I'm not mistaken... Cheers |

OK, so the V12 aluminum block military tank engine was just too much motor for your Testarossa. So here's another alternative. Just the thing for your vintage racer. It's an aluminum block also. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34202&item=2417535400 But that intake system will need some upgrading to make it worthy of a Ferrari.
