I drive my 355 every day if I don't need to haul anything big around (have SUV for that). I take it to the track almost every other weekend as well. Granted it is a beautifull piece of automotive art standing still, but cars were meant to be driven!

If I had an Enzo I'd use it for almost daily duties. I'd probably rack up 20-30k miles on it the first year. Hehehe.

Cheers

I was in a 348ts in the streets of Boston many years back, and the owner used it as a daily driver... It was awful, the suspension and large low profile tires were very unforgiving on bumps, and the rims were susceptible to getting bent.. the front end would scrape the ground anytime you pulled into a parking lot or steep hill, (you had to carefully go in an angle every time) parallel parking was a major b*tch, and don't even mention trying to change lanes in steady city traffic..

I'd take a 911 for daily driving, unless I lived in a rural area where money was no object and my drive to work consisted of sweeping country roads with little traffic..

Des, if you had the money for the Enzo you'd have a more comfortable daily driver. I spent a couple days in/around an Enzo and after watching it on the road- you can clearly see it was meant for the track. The car simply isn't tractable.

If I had the money for an Enzo, I'd buy a nice 575 and leave the Enzo for the weekend/special days.

Ok... in some recent and not-so-recent threads, there has been mention of the Enzo and how little it might be driven by whoever the owner is... i understand a car is, in some way, an investment... i understand there are people out there who buy cars solely for investment purposes and couldn't give two @#$%s about them, otherwise... i understand some people really like the cars but fear damage from daily or even semi-daily driving...

i can't change any of that.

...but, if you had the money, could you see yourself buying an Enzo (or whatever your dream car is) and not driving it, all the time...? Paint chips, depreciation, dings, scratches, dust and yadda, yadda - yes, i understand all of that, but they come no where close to adversely equaling what it must be like to drive these cars... The problem i have with wanting a Ferrari is that no matter how much money i have, i'll only get one Ferrari - 'cause it makes no sense to buy another, 'cause i'll never drive it...! Rain or shine, if i had an Enzo, that's what i'd drive...
i have a "special" watch at home that i only wear on "special" occasions - however, if i actually liked the damn thing, i'd wear it everyday...!

i'm not putting down daily drivers, nor am i putting down garage queens, to each her or his own, i'm no one to dictate otherwise; my two-part question to you, is this: If your Ferrari is your daily driver or your weekend driver or your never-driven museum piece - how do you justify that...? & if it's not your daily driver, why not...?
