Great video. I hate to be a critic, but IMO the Lotus driver was terrible and the F40 driver was worse. He should have smoked the Lotus all the way through.

Loved the video. That Lotus is an amazing car. I like to see a driver whip it around like that.

the Elise driver was doing a show for the camera and almost crashed into the F40 . Track days arent competitive .

cool video. is this from a euro driving event like we have in ferrari clubs, etc in usa? if so its run pretty wild with passing everywhere and no hand signals. looks fun but dangerous.

if you want a taste of driving like this, but not risking your own sheet metal, take a race driving intro course. I took one at Laguna Seca, using a scaled down (110HP) open wheel cart cars, and it was incredible fun.
It's really a lesson, because the teacher is driving a dodge neon stock, and you can not possibly keep up with him, except if you get really good, you can catch him in the tightest corners.

Lesson I learned was that understanding the physics involved and the race lines means alot more than horsepower.

I think the F40 And P Driver were more interested in keeping their cars in one peice than "racing" the lotus! if the elise driver really knew what he was doing the F40 driver wouldnt have had to take avoiding action when the elise tried to nail him in the side

Or a GT Porsche.

But he's a good driver and it's good footage. I wish I knew how to drive like that.

Cheers

Whoever was driving the F40...sucked. Yeah sure a Lotus Elise handles great, but no way no how would it take a F40 like that.
