My car has recently developed a resonance when I'm not on the throttle and there is back pressure. Kind of a fast 'wawawawa'. It's driving me nuts and is making me consider an aftermarket exhaust. I like the Tubi's I've heard, but not sure how I could sneak that kind of $$ under my wife's radar. Maybe I could sneak in a Stebro though.

Adrian, sorry, but a Tubi will not make a 328 sound like a 355....I wish though...

Thanks Crawford. Do you know if the tubi'd sound is similar to the 355? Love the F1 scream.

Here's a web site I did about 3 years ago. It's only somewhat helpful since you can't really distinguish the volume of each muffler...

Thanks Jens! Will check Tubis out next week. Still looking for nice wheels suggestions for my 1989 328.

On another note, what do you guys prefer, hanging dice or CDs on rear view mirror? I want to draw attention to myself.

Adrian,

Check out their website:
www.tubistyle.com
Just looked up their general catalogue for Europe and the 328 sport exhaust (Just one choice) goes for 1759,70 Euro without tax.
Look out for our sponsors here. They should give you a very good deal below this price for sure!

Con saluti cordialissimi,
Jens Haller

P.S. Definitely go for the Tubi. I was very sceptical first as well but never looked back. Just gorgeous! Montezemolo and Schumacher also use Tubi with their street Ferraris BTW!

Any idea how much the tubi is? Are there different versions for the 328? If so which is the best? Where do I find info? Thanks guys.

I have one with the cat still on. Sounds very nice. The stock muffler was very boomy and had a bad resonance around 3,500 to 4,500 rpm. Completely went away and now it has a much better, slightly higher pitch, and of course, it is a bit louder, but not bad. If you remove the cat as well, it will get a bit louder still.... A couple friends have done that on their 328's and 308's.

I've been more interested in this lately, but don't have the balls to do it without hearing one first. The only comparison I've heard is on 360s with and without. That was night and day, but I don't like to draw too much of a comparison between a 360 and my 328. What to do, what to do...

I have a Tubi on mine. The sound is very deep and throaty. Melodious. Interestingly, on my GT4 it's a much brighter sound. It's definitely worth the investment. Changes the whole character of the car.

I have one on mine. Bought it from Tino on this board; put iy on about a year ago. Sounds a little more bass at idle, but no louder. But over 2,500 RPM's, the sound is completely different from stock...and above 5,000, it REALLY screams! And, as it is aging, the sound is getting better & better. No droning, no resonance (IMO), just beautiful engine sounds. I have the original OEM catalyst on it, and am considering doing a higher-flow cat for more throughput... We'll see.

Bottom line: the Tubi really made the character of the 328 come out!

I think I read that Crawford has a Tubi coming in this week for his 328. Can't wait to hear about it!

Anyone have a 328 with a tubi? What does it sound like? Anything like the 355?
I have custom made exhaust on mine, test pipes, no cats. Growls like crazy on low rpms, not very loud on high rpms. there's a resonance at about 4500.
