Thanks Joop. Why not show them all. The black is #0246AL, the red one is 0240AL, the metallic green is 0248AL and the black and white picture represents 0232AL. Does anyone have a colour picture of 0232AL?Upload

In Cavallino, they list under 342 America the following: 3 Coupes, 3 Cabrolets Price ranges: $200,000- $350,000 for the coupes, $400,000- $850,000 for the Cabs

Thanks Wayne, its going to take a lot more saving then I thought to save up for the cabriolet. Actually I figured with production so low they would be around those prices. The car is great looking.

As far as I know, there were only 3 cabriolets and 3 coupes produced. As for being one of the "best unmentioned F-cars," there were several great models built in the early years that don't get much mention today and the 342s are definitely among them. I'm a real sucker for all of the Lampredi V-12s, by the way!

What is one worth today? Well, I would guess that while a coupe might sell in the $250K-$300K range, one of the cabs would probably bring double that amount and this particular car (0234 AL) could possibly be worth closer to 7 figures. Since there are so few cars and I haven't seen them change hands publically, it's hard to put a definite value on them.

Anyway, thanks for sharing the pics! I have several of 0234 that I took at Pebble Beach. When I get my computer at home set up again, I'll scan them in and post some for you guys.

Thanks everyone. I was actually hoping Wayne would chime in also. This car is just amazing. Thanks for the pics. It is real graceful looking. I wonder why no one really talks about them? Besides the fact so few were made. What is one worth today any takers?

Erik, I got to see this beauty at the Greenwich Concourse. The owner of this car also has that F50GT1 that crashed just a few months back. I got to talk to him for maybe 20 minutes, really nice guy (his name is Art), beautiful car.

Pictures are here:

I thought Wayne would answer on 0234AL. It is a famous car delivered to King Leopold III of Belgium in 1953. In the sixties the car moved to the U.S. and stayed there ever since. After some different owners the present owner aquired the F in 1998. After restauration in 1999 the car was seen at all big events like Pebble Beach, Bagatelle and Villa d'Este. Very recently is was to be seen at the Greenwich Concours.Upload

Anyone have any pictures or any more information about this car then what is listed on www.qv500.com under their ferrari model guide. I think this car is one of the best unmentioned f-cars. Why does noone ever talk about them? Anyone ever get any seat time in one? The lines are just awesome. Like poetry in motion (yes that is from a movie) :-) What is one worth today? Thanks everyone
Erik
