I'm going to wait after I attend the upcoming shows out here (here in N. Van on Sat/Sun, Ferraris on 12th, SIR historics, etc...), since there won't be enough time inbetween them to get the work done (no point in rushing). The nose had a few stone chips anyways, so I was thinking of getting it painted in the near future. Now I have no choice! As for who will do it, I'll probably take it to a Portugese fellow that was highly recommended by a fellow Alfa Romeo club member. Apparently, he's been doing body-work/painting for the last 40 years. He uses no bondo. He's worked on other Ferraris, Panteras, etc... I'll check it out later... That's too bad you can't make it Stu. Don't worry, I and the other guys will post many pics of the Italian Show! |

I talked to him a couple weeks ago. His Ferraris were up for the winter, he was sick earlier this year, and I think he's moving into a new house. He said he would be back soon. |

Peter, your car looked great.. sorry about the incident on the way home. Now you have a legitimate reason to post more rebuild pics... it's been too long! Impressive karate skills too... although it looks like you've gained a few pounds! O/T I'm sure I missed this somewhere but what ever happened to Magoo? |

It was an eventful Saturday for me. I attended a car show that was part of a bigger event - Hat's Off Day & Parade. An event organised to celebrate the diverse ethnic commercial community of Burnaby Heights, just east of Vancouver B.C. There was a parade and then a show-and-shine car show: Waiting in line...
More Ferraris (the FCA club director's Spyder and another member's 348).
Hastings Street.
My car.
The two 348's plus the Viper of a fellow FCA member (who has a 550 in his collection).
A demonstration from members of the Martial Arts studio.
And now the sad news.... On my way back home I was involved in a fender-bender. A stupid accident that was my fault (I was travelling maybe 0.5 MPH). I clipped the steel bumper of a pickup truck. Stupid, stupid, stupid...
Oh well, its only metal and it can be fixed. Its just crappy that I had to do this before the big Italian car show next weekend. |
