If you get it for MSRP, a Spider will hold its value better than a coupe. I personally would get a coupe though, I just like them a lot more. I'm not too into that open air motoring (my targa top is the farthest I go) and I don't care if people see me in a car or not (disclaimer: no I'm not implying that all spider drivers do, probably none on FC do, but I have run across a couple people with 355 spiders that only got them to be seen). With the 360 they did do a great job with making it a convertible, but in the end it's not worth it for the reasons that the other guys pointed out. |

In my opinion, the roofline of the 360 Modena is an integral part of the 360's original design. These lines are interrupted on the 360 Spider and cannot be duplicated by the retractable top. For this reason alone, I would choose the 360 Modena but if the Berlinetta wasn't produced, I'd be very happy with the Spider. |

I think that it is a matter of personal opinion and taste. I bought my 360M more than a year ago before the spider came out. Even though I really like the spider, I don't think I would trade in. The only way I would have a spider is if I already had a coupe in my garage and was getting another Ferrari. The price difference is substantial, like $20,000 I think (list price). If you want one NOW, then I think the coupe is the only way to go, as the street prices for the spider are out of hand. And please dont start another discussion of F1 vs. Manuals.. this has been beaten to death. :-) Ernesto |

Unless money is not an object, I think the prices of the 360 spyders are retarded. I cant believe dealers and speculators our there would mark them up so high. from my understanding, MSRP is only $175k. And some places are advertising $300k+ But the average prices are around $250k. But still, why pay a premium of $100k over the 360 coupe? And if you get on the list, I think the wait is around 3 years. by then a new model should be around the corner. So what is one to do??? I wish I could justify buying a spyder, which i would love to have. im looking for a reasonably priced coupe. |

I have been a long time 911 driver and will be buying my first Ferrari soon. The only remaining question is which model to choose - the 360 Spyder vs. the coupe? Any input will be appreciated. |
