I have come to the conclusion there is no most reliable Ferrari. There is only the least likely to break down Ferrari. |

Dino extremely reliable. Not much to go wrong, no electronics (except crummy Dinoplex ignition module which most of us have long since replaced). Very easy to maintain, although parts getting scarce. Always starts, always goes, drive it in the rain & the 30 year old windshield wipers work almost like new. Even electric windows have been problem-free. |

I have heard from many F mechanics that the Dino series were very reliable. The 246's. No computer junk on them. Not like repairing a B-2 stealth bomber with 20 miles of electrical wiring inside, not to mention the sensors. Driveability wise, the newer F-cars kick butt. |

Tim my F40 has been bullit proof so far. (30K engine rebuilds are a myth if you take care of it, reality if you thrash it!) Pre 355? My Fly yellow 365GTB/4 Daytona has been my most reliable Ferrari, I drove it from CA to KS in 26 hours, passed EVERYTHING, but a gas station, never let me down! I loved my 308 but reliable? well after you replaced the plugs after you fowled them, then it was reliable, tell you fowled them again! |

No, it needs like an engine rebuild every 30k or somethng like that. But at least u can do belts with the engine in the car, i think (through the firewall) |

gotta give my 348 a heads up. much more reliable than my BMW 840. I had put 15,000 Miles on my car in the last 2 years and it runs and runs. Great AC as well and we surely need that here in South Florida! |

I have had 2 QV's 2 328's and a 94 348. In my experience, the 328's were quite a lot less troublesome than the 308's. Part of this can be attributed to age, but 328's were essentially an evolution of 308's and as such, greatly improved. The 348 was very reliable for me. I had it from 1500 miles to 16K. However, I know the new owner has had a glitch or two and others I have known were not as lucky as me. Mechanics will generally tell you 328's are the most reliable. Dave |

It'd be real close between the 308QV and the 328. The only downside of the 328 is the slight increase in electronics which could potentially offset the age difference. But the 328 is essentially the furthest the 308 came, so who knows. |

I think any 308 can be extremely reliable but especially the 308QV. |

I have always heard that the most reliable Ferrari ever is the 328. Last week I was talking to the Sales Manager of Scottsdale Ferrari and he said that the 328 is the most reliable and the 512TR was a close second place. Seems like I hear very few complaints about the 328, except of course the air conditioning and power windows. As long as a 328 is maintained and driven it should be very reliable. Ferrari had 11 years of development with the 308 series and finished with a GREAT car the 328, not to say that any of the 308s are not great cars, but the reliability of the 328 is very strong. |
