Ok, I'm 7,748 miles from Milan. That's about a third of all the miles on my car right now. I'm using this distance calculator: http://www.wcrl.ars.usda.gov/cec/java/lat-long.htm |

Ken, pick Milano, Florence or Bologna if you can, close enough for the purposes of this exercise. Hawaii might be the winner though. I would have guessed otherwise somebody in Bejing or Hong Kong perhaps. |

Farthest from Maranello? I think I'm close, being in Hawaii... I'd use an online calculator to figure it out, but I don't know the latitude and longitude of the Ferrari factory. Does anyone? |

There is a guy on the Ferrarilist in Nigeria or something. Drives a 308GTSi. He owns one of like three Ferraris in the entire country. I think his name is Bilal or something like that... |

I agree with Andreas - Your reference point as 'Mecca' should be Maranello! |

Indonesia has some. My dad's friend's Testarossa was in Vladivostok for a couple of days while it was ready to be put on a ship headed for Japan. There's a tiny place in Europe called Monaco, I think, that has a couple also I've heard. Cheers |

How about the Ferrari paint, that travelled to Mars (or is about to, not sure)? Read some hype about it several months ago. Allegedly some original Ferrari red paint in a can on a probe to Mars. |

There's a few in Thailand. Quite a significant collection in India belonging to a Mr. Anil Thadani. Also saw a Testarossa in Karachi, Pakistan once. On a map, it looks like Argentina or China are the farthest away. |

Remoteness should be measured in distance from Maranello, place of origin. The factory tested the 550 and drove it all the way 'down' to the Southern tip of South America. They shot a documentary about it, pretty neat stuff. If anybody ever questions taking their (modern) Ferrari out in the weather, that tape should settle it.

This is an interesting topic, I have seen 328's in China, 348 and Mondial in Philippines. Wherever I travel in Asia I look out for Ferrari's. On the point raised by Arlie there are still many Mustangs and Vettes in the Philippines from the days when US services were based there. Spotted several cars in a field several months ago, but have now been removed. I agree Andria Doria sounds like the end of the line |

' Depends where your point of origin is ' So true! How about "Who's Ferrari is in the most unlikely locale?" Siberia? Katmandu? Dallas?(Dallas, South Dakota) |

I'll hijack this thread right off the top. Not a Ferrari story, but a Corvette tale. Back in 1967, there was a U.S. soldier stationed in Vietnam that special ordered a green Corvette Sting Ray convertible with a green interior! He had it shipped to Saigon during the war. After the war, it was shipped back to the states. It still exists. Somewhere I've got an article about it, so it was not just a tall tale. And don't forget the Ghia show car that is resting in the cargo hold of the Andrea Doria at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Can't get much more remote than that.

I read earlier about someone wanting to ship their 328 to the Philippines. Started me thinking... Where is the most remote Ferrari????
