Welcome Anthony. Love the GT4. Was just re-reading the TR buyer's guide in Classic Car magazine last night. Congrats on a great car. |

Yoshi the weather in Australia is very kind to cars as we have no need for salt on roads etc. This car was repainted about 6 years ago but was as new. my tr is also a good car it is ex Hong Kong and has been well maintained. my file sizes for the photos are too big to post so i need to learn how to shrink them.regards tony |

Welcome, Anthony. Although I, too, is a rookie. Your 308 looks great, and it is 25yo car. I can't believe how clean the inside look! Aussie weather must suit your Ferrari. I also want to see TR photo. Maybe I should start thinking to buy Fcar from Australia..... |

Gooday Anthony - nice to have you here. Get all the parts you need online from the comfort of your armchair from www.owners.ferrari.com ! Seriously, we have TONS of stuff for GT4 and have a few customers in Australia, and the Ferrari Owners' Site shows all the Original Factory parts books online and from these you can pop bits and pieces into a basket and order them online. Couldn't be simpler ! Cheers |

It's funny there don't seem to be too many mmembers of the club who participate in ferrarichat. we have a strong club in Queensland where I come from and usually at most outings we succeed in getting 10-20 cars and recently at our nationals we had over 60 cars. Thanks for your reply. |

I have been reading your page with great interest for many months now and thought that I should finally post something and get involved. until recently i was a porsche owner i had a 1978 3.3 930 Turbo which was kept in great order and was my daily driver. My intro to ferrari was when i was looking in the local dealers showroom and i spied a absolutely stunning 308gt4 which was in as new condition. it was a 1978 Ferrari badged car with pale cream leather in the ferrari red duco and it was perfect in every respect. I fell in love with it and evntually purchased it for $58k aud. which at that time in $US was about $29 us. I thoroughly enjoyed the club members and the functions/events.I had only one problem and that was I felt so bad every time I drove it as I collected another stone chip etc etc so i sold her to an enthusiast after winning the National Concourse with her. I was motivated by spotting a great looking TR 1988 model which had a good history so I sold the gt4 and bought the TR. This is some car. it has a tubi and sounds fantastic and the torque is great. I went for a country spin with a friend who owns a 98 Carrera 4 s and left him in my dust and this was through very hilly curvy roads. I actually stopped and waited for him and went back as I thought he must have come off somewhere. These cars are inspiring and although I loved the porsche the TR is my choice. i even say good morning to her when i pass each morning. When I learn how to post pictures I will post some of our recent rally to Morgan Park raceway. |
