I'd like to ride in it, but ah I'm still too fat. But, another 60 pounds should do it.

Ah Monte, friend, ol'e buddy can I take her for a spin. HAHA

I've drivin in the Breadvan at over 100 mph and can tell you that the engine noises make your hair stand on end. It SCREAMS, and vibrates the heck out of the bare allumium chassis in a wonderfully harmonic way. It is utterly fantastic, and utterly frighting for the passanger (who has to cram into the beast) even on a sunny day!!!!! I cannot imagine how increadibly crazy it would be to drive that monster flat out in the snow. Simply amazing. It seems every owner of this car was a complete lunatic. The owners are a fitting trubuite what IMHO is the ultimate "bad boy" Ferrari.

Wayne - I LOVE that magazine - I only got to flip through it last night and caught 2 things - (1) Richard Meritt's recounting the tale of Gary Wales' 1960-something drive in the famous 250 'bread van' from N.Y. to Detroit, getting pulled over for driving more than 100mph in a raging snowstorm and begging the officer to put him in a warm jail because he was about dead from the cold (no heater in the bread van) and (2) the story and pics of the 330GT Speciale - we covered this car a while back on Tom Yang's site, but I thought there were only 3, not 4 of these unbelievably beautiful cars. Once I've read it thoroughly, I might start a thread . . .

(jeez, Rob - I did the 'preview' and your puritanical editing software blocked the 4-letter version of Richard Merritt's customary first name!!)

Just wanted to point out some nice changes that the folks at Cavallino have made beginning with this latest issue (#135, June/July 2003).

The "MERCATO" section has become the "GUIDA" section and now includes "Engine Type," "Chassis Range," "Model Type," and "Brief Comments." It has also been expanded to break down several models into much more specific groups for more accurate estimated values.

In addition to these changes, they have also added a "Calendario" section subtitled, "Where Ferraris Can Be Found In 2003," which lists dates and contact information for upcoming events through the end of the year.
