I've never had the opportunity to pull a 456 interior apart whereas I have gutted a 365's. In the last hour I was told that a Queen Mother w/ a factory bench seat was at Concorso Italiano several years ago. So, it's possible, but at what expense? |

Bruce - I assume you're talking about the 2 cam 365GT2+2. I think it would be very difficult to do what you're talking about. The top of the tunnel over the torque tube is probably at the same height as the seats on either side of it. The big armrest inbetween the seats fits over the tunnel and screws into the sides of it. You could probably raise the level of the seat bottom all the way across the rear so that there would be at least an inch or two of foam under the leather at the tunnel. Your other problem is that the center console going rearward from the dash is integrated with the armrest between the rear seats. The middle kid would have nowhere to put his feet!! |

Is it feasable to convert the rear bucket seats of a 365 2+2 to a bench seat to hold three young children |
