Martin, could you elaborate on this "melting" phenomenon you mentioned? Thanks.

I wonder if the 30K was done, especially since this car has a VIN that qualifys for the bad valve guides.

Nice color.

plastic is starting to melt. The AC control is already warbing and the plastic has some nicks which means the car is melting.

My friend is checking the VIN when he gets home tonight. He did not know it off hand. FoH just sold a similar car to an individual for a price not much higher than the current bid, it may be that car also. I will let you know. If you friend is looking have him call Joe at FoH, he seems to know how to find cars for buyers.

Jim, thank your lucky stars. He did you a favor by not calling you back. I don't want to detract from the call of this thread, which is the green 355, so I'm sorry for bringing my personal opinion about CARS into discussion. Sorry, all.

I tried to get info on a car that Dawydiak had when I was shopping, I couldn't get them to call me back. It was a 78 308GTB.

For you Bay Area Ferrari enthusiasts, a real nice forest green 355 resides at CARS Dawydiak in SF: Corner of Franklin and Bush. I'm not a big Walter Dawydiak fan, but he has lots of nice cars in his showroom. Like someone else wrote in this thread, I never considered a green Ferrari, but the picture in this thread, and in CARS's showroom, is real pretty.

I have a friend who had a 95 355 exactly like this that was flooded in Houston in 2001. FoH took the car when he was paid by the insurance co. I can check his old VIN if you would like.

There is a 96 green/tan spider formerly owned by Tommy Hilfiger on ebay right now. Not a bad looking color.

Saw one in Orange County--was beautiful, but it will be a hard resale.

Looks really nice!
Have never seen the 355 in green metallic paint. Fits the car well IMO!

Off colors (green, silver, blue) are very attractive. But be cautious because the car will be very hard to resell and will sell at a lower price than an equivalent red car. This car has been for sale for a very long time at Ferrari of Houston. There is also a 95 green spyder at Ferrari of Long Island. It has been in their showroom for well over a year.

Oh, yeah, and I thought the metallic paint enhanced the car's lines (as opposed to solid colors which tend to mute the curves).

I've seen one one in person. It was a spyder with tan interior. It looked fantastic, especially at dusk, where it almost looks black from some angles.
