Brian, SPEED has no control over footage in F1, whereas in CART, all the cameras and coverage is theirs to do with as they wish. That's why sometimes they'll say, "Lets just ride alont with so and so" and suddenly, the camera will change to something else. |

What I found interesting was... From 4:30 to 7:00 the SpeedTV staff went to sleep... during that time they ran "Radio LeMans" coverage. Wow! What an improvement! They put up informative standings (told you what lap cars were on, for example). Their dialog was far more interesting and intelligent. If it wasn't for the fact there was almost no audience to observe this, I'd be saying we should try to lobby for SpeedTV to just run Radio LeMans next year. Another observation: I watched both F1 and CART qualifying in the midst of the LeMans. It was interesting to contrast the CART coverage with the other two... tons of good in-car footage, really giving a good feel for Laguna Seca... I really enjoyed it.

Andreas I am with you. The commentary IMO wasn't adding to the race but detracting from it. But, I still can't believe speed didn't show more of the race especially the night hours. Erik |

Was I the only one who get pissed_off at the commentator? Making lame statements about the passing in F1 and belitteling a victory in Sebring? Yeah, this is Le Mans, but c'mon a victory in Sebring is nothing to sneeze at and if you don't believe there is passing in F1, well then you just didn't watch the Montreal GP. |

I think the lambo came in about 2 hours after the start. Unfortunately, he had to be squeezed in between a deisel VW and a 15 year old Citroen at the back of the carpark. Dave |

the vettes did a great job of coming from behind several laps down to take a 2nd and 3rd.. but its was very cool to see the maranellos going strong and all the way... the commentators kept saying that now they have reliability... and ya speed should have shown more night coverage instead of annoying nascar over and over.... |

Great race! -- though they had me a little worried when they pulled the car into the garage this morning with about an hour left to go... I'm glad the 550s are finally breaking the Vettes' total dominance in GTS. Now I'd like to see Ferrari start doing better in the GT class. |

I wanted the maranellos to finish 1-2-3 but I will take one first place. I was however unhappy with how speed handled the race. I enjoy watching them race at night and speed only showed like 8 out of the 24hrs. Its sad when they used to show you the whole race. Instead nascar was on last night. What the heck is that? The vettes really let me down this year they couldn't even compete with the 550's. Erik |

Exactly James ! The Ferrari did pretty good . I think it lapped the Vettes 10 times ! Too bad the 2nd car crashed and that the Luc Alphand Maranello had problems today , it was going strong ! Now we know how much this car is worth |

In spite of Alan's statement that its sad how slow the 550's are compared to his Lambo they seem to be fast enough to come in 1st in GTS. When the flag drops the bullsh it stops... |
