I guess I've been lucky, I live in Mass have a "red" 355 (for about a year now) and have never been pull over in it (knock on wood). My buddy who has a red M3 has been pulled over quite a few times and they always seem to be running his plate (whenever a plate is run in Mass, an entry is made to record that it was done). Capt. |

I was bagged the FIRST time I took my Mondy out. Seems the trooper did not like the look of the MI temp tag (lol). He said it looked like I had made it on my computer. Wasted 30 mins doing everything he could to find a problem. Lucky we had every paper on hand and nothing in the car yet. Here in s.w. fla they do the same thing to my Lotus and any other exotic. Funny it never used to happen in my 911SC |

WARNING: Two exits before Hampton Beach (near Portsmouth) they now use LASER and i am now the owner of an ALLEGED speeding ticket for 101mph in a 55mph zone. This is coming from the south BTW. So be careful out there as they plant themselves just on the other side of of an uphill bridge so if by chance you have a Valentine 1, it is simply too late as it does not detect scatter from them trying to laser others ahead of you. It was the only "bad few blocks" ever driven in the Ferrari as they waved me over for their "speciale chiaro blu" (blue light special). Every other mile has been sheer driving ecstasy :-) As a side note, no matter how well i abide by local traffic laws it seems i get pulled over for no reason or they turn on their radar as they see me coming. It is getting CLOSE to me having my lawyers take them to court for harassment (seriously). Have been logging ALL encounters as they have simply gone too far. Enjoy the Music (Puccini's "O Mio Babbino Caro" right now), Steven R. Rochlin

I've been driving my 328 in MA for four years without being stopped. Been tagged in my Alfa, but they leave the Ferrari alone. (Maybe because it's not red.) On the other hand, every time I have to drive onto the local USAF base, the APs decide that they need to do a "random search" on it. I haven't been to NH with it, though. I've heard indications that NH and VT troopers are a bit wound up about MA Ferrari owners going north to find curves to exercise on. (Most of the curves in MA have snailmobiles in the way.) |

In Newport Beach, if you are doing the speed limit, but with dealer plates, you will be pulled over by every policeman you pass. They are very friendly, they look over the car, the insurance papers, your license and then let you go with no ticket and no warning. They seem to like cars and to be on the lookout for theft. I am not sure if I like it to not, it makes me nervous when it happens. |

Never had a problem, even driving through small towns in New Mexico, Utah, Nevada and Arizona. Haven't even had a problem here in Colorado Springs! (and the city council now pays the wages of the local POlice new hires through revenue they generate from tickets - no tickets, no paycheck). |

i had a mass statie pull me over the second or third time i took my 355 out. he came up behind me on 95, i saw him a mile away in the rearview. i stayed in the rightmost lane doing the speed limit. he came right up behind me and just sat there - presumably trying to figure out some reason to pull me over. then he pulls up beside me for a while. and then finally the lights come on. i didn't have an inspection sticker (you have 7 days in MA to get your inspection sticker). the guy was a real . gave me all sorts of crap about what these cars cost blah blah blah. doody. |

Last Friday at 8:45 AM a saw a silver/gray 308 with Mass. tags and 2 guys riding North on I-95. A NH state trooper pulled them over for no apparent reason that I could see. I had been driving behind them from the Hampton, NH tolls (7 miles)and they were traveling with the general flow of traffic; maybe 5-7 miles over the limit. Was this anyone from this board and does this happen often to Ferrari owners?
