Maybe the factory "racing seats" would be a good option, Wfo (nice handle, btw). Even leather'd up, they hold you in place fairly well. And a Simpson child seat rests firmly in bucket and side bolsters and so won't slide around.

No real problems here other than the fact I really hate leather in a car. My reasons are you have to constantly condition the leather. You slip and slide on the seat when going sideways . The seats are hot in the summer (I don't own a pair of long pants. Sweat stains on the seats), it's cold in what little winter we have, spilled food stains the leather ( OMG someone dares eat in a F-car), baby seat slips around even when you cinch it down. The seats on my Miata's were made of cloth and wore very well. I could toss my wetsuit in the passenger seat and spill stuff all the time and not care. Once a month used our steam cleaner and the seats looked brand new. Grippy in the corners and on the track. You could leave the top down in the summer and not burn yourself when you sat down. Winter time they never got too cold.

Kevin,

I think the leather quality and the work done with the interior has increased rapidly over the years.
If I compare the quality of the whole leather job in my 348 (or 328) with todays 360 or 550 I can only say it has improved tremendously.
Dont know about the shrink with the new models but my car has it, too.
If it would have been worked out properly this would not have happened...

Con saluti cordialissimi,

2000 360. The only interior issue is a bit of wear on the outer driver's seat piping (due more to my fat a*s than to a durability issue). Otherwise looks great.

Haven't seen any wear inside my 360 yet at nearly 20K miles. There are a couple of chips on the shifting paddles but that's it.

I use a sun shield when the sun is out. But we get cloudy skies most of the time here in the Pacific Northwest. :-)

The window switch thing is also common on the 550's. Had mine replaced when the car was 8 months old, with 1,800 miles on the clock. Done under warranty, so no biggie.

The window switches which are rubber covered are beginning to wear and starting to peel. I am told the only fix is to replace the switches.

Apparently it is a common problem with the 360's.

I have had no problems with my 2000... but I do use a sun shade when I leave it in the sun for any length of time (Texas).

no problems here either. if I ever park outside in the sun for any length of time I use a sun shield. it is a good idea to use one here in Florida.

So....how is the dash and other unterior of the 360? Still getting the pulling at the vents? Have to use a towel or something to shield it from the sun?

What are the problem areas?

If one had to park his outside a bit...would he worry?
