It's kinda funny that most people don't approve of them for Ferraris, But as a pilot almost all cockpits of corporate jets, up to Gulfstreams (20-30 million) almost always have sheepskin covers. Just a thought, I agree though, I don't like them in cars.
strange huh??

I have the neoprene covers on my GT4, since the seats are pretty torn up, and I'm not quite at the point where I am ready to restore them.

The covers I got were pretty cheap (2/$20) at a local flea market. They look decent, black with red center, but do tend to come loose when entering and exiting the car. I think I need to remove the seat, and use some hog clips to secure the cover to the seat.

I have wondered about those Neoprene covers. In any event, skins aren't that expensive to replace are they? (yea, right)

Dave: Let me know what you find. Sliding in and out of my daily driver GT4 is wearing on the side bolsters.

I think they would look none too sporting in a Ferrari. I DO have them in my Honda, only because I find the leather in my Honda to resemble more like cheap vinyl than good quality leather. Checked underneath them recently and the seats look like new though.

I have been considering getting some inexpensive tan cotton seat covers for the F-car though...

A little trivia, (the truth about the origins of this). In the Mid East (especially Iran, Lebanon..etc) a popular mode of transport is commonly known as Taxi-service. Unlike Taxis as we know them, these are privately owned sedans that travel a reglular route and stop at random to pick up or deliver a single passenger (in other owrds, you could be sitting with 3 or 4 strangers during your trip). Hundreds of people get in and out of the same car in a single day in a hurry . To stop the interior from getting ruined, sheepskins are used to protect the seats. It is said that one enterprising Iranian sold the first set in Beverly Hills back in the 70's and the rest is history.

Good idea Jack....otherwise they always remind me of mullets and 70s stingray vettes driving around town without completed paint jobs and with dice hanging from the rearview . But that is just me.

I got one for my passenger seat, just to use when I take my dog with me. The only problem is if you leave it in the car, it will start to stink.

In my opinion, 2 words. Gag. Me.

Every car I've ever seen them put in did more damage to the seats than protecting them.

What are your thoughts on using these to protect the car seats? Or are they relegated to ancient history and no longer used in f-cars?
