William,

I have the car in Singapore. Brand new car was shipped to Koenig in Munich in 1986 and they built body, engine and suspension. Mine is a 308GTSi QV.

I recently had to replace a front spoiler and ordered a replacement from Koenig.

After bolting on the parts, you will need a bodyshop familiar with fibreglass techniques to reshape the panels for close fit. If you are not interested in precise fit then you can bolt them on but the panel gaps are pretty large.

You will also have to fabricate some brackets to the panels to the frame to ensure a firm installation.

Koenig is a first rate organization but if parts are not in stock be prepared to wait about a month for parts to be moulded.

Hi TK, which model Koenig Ferrari do u have ? Did u order the parts from Germany or from a distributor in the US ? I spoke to their current US distributor, Ryan, at Ferrari of Washington DC.
I plan on ordering the Competition Evolution body kit for my 512TR that will be a track only car.
So u mention the body panels r not strictly bolt on. The 512TR I just purchased has the front end crashed lightly, cosmetic damage mostly. What is involved in replacing the front & rear fenders ?
Thanks
TK

I own a Koenig Ferrari. The quality of parts are excellent. They are expensive but you are paying for quality. Walther Koenig speaks excellent English and is very helpful. I got parts as ordered. It is not strictly a bolt-on operation if you buy body panels. Best Wishes.
