As of Sunday the yellow Enzo is still roped off in Cauley Ferraris showroom - and definitely with no damage.

I don't believe the Ferrari federov crashed was the Enzo; the story clearly states that it was a 2001 model and it was red. The Enzo Sergei took delivery on is supposedly yellow (and it certainly can't be MY2001).

Crashing the 456? Oh, my, just the thought of that makes me shudder!

Have some respect for the beautiful machines. No more stupid wrecks, please. We have lost 2 dear members already.

The 550 on ebay was Pavel Bure's. Ugly green interior.

It was the red 456 guys.

The Enzo is safe and sound at the dealer.

And he has a yellow 355 Spider Fiorano. No 360.

If he can't control a front-engined car then god help him in the mid-engined cars.

I was bored and did a little hunting and came up with this link:

http://www.clickondetroit.com/sports/2284173/detail.html

Watch the video, it seems like it was a 456 that he crashed.

Sorry guys, looks like I was misinformed.

Very curious to know what car he pranged. Sounds like he's got a lotta Ferraris!

I know he had (maybe even still has) that 456GT (it's his winter car), has purchased a F355 Fiorano, and of course the Enzo. None of those were red though. At least he sounds like a good customer.

I wonder if he just lost his invitation from Ferrari to purchase the Enzo's successor?

Anyone know how many other F-cars he had? I thought you couldn't get an Enzo unless you had purchased a bunch of other Ferraris.

I agree with JT, Porsche has an excellent factory driver training program here in the US. Ferrari & all high performance auto & motorcycle & boat manufacturers should do the same.

just the thought of a wrecked enzo gives me the chills. i guess 660hp was little too much for him.

ferrari should offer to train their customers on how to handle these cars.

No Doody, that was another hockey player. I don't remember his name. Federov also had a red/tan 360 Spider. I don't know if he kept it or traded it in on the Enzo.

Well, between the limousine crash a few years ago and this latest accident, the Red Wings might want to consider buying their players bus tokens to get around.

At least he didn't end up like Tim Horton or Pelle Lindbergh.

Andrew,

The story I read just said "a car" but another gentleman I know said one radio station was talking about him "crashing his new million dollar car" and another guy I know said he heard on the radio that Sergei had wadded his Enzo.

I didn't know that was his green 550 on eBay! But I have to say it wasn't so bad! (I know, I know... booo, hisss)

Oh dang. He's barely had the car two weeks!! I saw it when it was in Cauley Ferraris showroom right before it was delivered. Geez. I heard in another incident awhile back, he had his 456GT on the local track in Waterford, and spun it. I don't think he hit anything but still. This incident must be why he's asking for so much money to renew his contract with the Wings.....

Any other details on this Mike?

On the radio they said that Sergei Fedorov of the Red Wings hockey team wrapped his Enzo around a tree.

He is apparently unhurt, and they are saying alcohol was not a factor (he has prior DUI convictions, if I recall).

Hopefully it will get resurrected - it should - it's worth it.
