STuff like this goes through my mind occasionally when I am doing 160mph + at Pocono on the back straight or the back straight at Watkins Glen at 145mph. I always push it back but I always know the danger is there. Thats why I am building my race car.

Gentlemen, its time to look upon your life and live your life to its fullest because we never know when the end will come for us.

Jens & Amar were great guys and passionate about the cars we love

May the Lord accept them into his arms and may they and their families and friends find peace. May Jens and Amar be forever happy and free of suffering.
May we all forever be happy and free of suffering
May all beings forever be happy and free of suffering.
Thank you Lord

Rob, perhaps we could have a tribute to Amar and Jens on the main page? Maybe a small image with J.H. XXXX-2003, A.I. XXXX-2003?

Thoughts?

Never got to know them but really really sorry.

Our Father,
who art in Heaven,
hallowed by Thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
Amen

Martin,

"reading their postings about this event"
http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/174013/192976.html?1056148928

Jens, my dear old friend, was working over 1/2 year for this event. I did everything for the community & friendship.
There is no one like you - we will miss you!
Amar, I`m so sad that I haven`t met you at the Monaco Grand Prix, it was my fault not to meet you.
Wrong place/wrong time. Never get a change to meet you again.
WHY?????

Devastating is right, especially finding out in the Off Topic section and having to wonder/worry what happened while frantically looking for the right thread. It really puts it in perspective, as many have said, that many of us are bonded by this board, and though many of us haven't met, we often exchange as much or more than with family and close friends. Seeing the pictures and reading their last posts makes it really hard to take - just very sad right now and truly feel for their families and friends. You guys are all a great group and I'm very proud to be a member.

My condolences to the family, friends and others affected by this horrible tragedy. Amar and Jens were beautiful and so enthusiastic when it came to life. Lived it to the fullest for sure.

Their loves for automobiles were only outdone by their classiness as individuals. A dark weekend here at Fchat.

Words cannot express the shock of how I felt as I started to read these posts. My deepest sympathy to both families.

I had only just exchanged an email with Jens last week, as he was one of the winners in a competition that I had done on f-chat - He was so exited as he said that he had never won anything before. I only sent it off to him on Monday - He was so looking forward to receiving his prize.

Deeply saddened of this news.

THEY WERE BOTH CUSTOMERS OF MINE..

I sold Jens his Tubi - I spoke with him sooo many times... he used to plug the out of our company..... all the time at every opportunity... such a polite enthusiast..

WE serviced Amars car - I DROVE THAT 360M... I drove it... I can't believe it.
I've got an email from him expressing his happiness about his forthcoming marriage to his Italian girlfriend..... met him on many occasions.

I can't get my head around this... this is the worst news I've had in years.
God bless them wherever they are.

I just wanted to add again how sad I feel. I didn't know them personally, except from what I read in their posts, but I do miss them. Any passing is untimely but unfortunately it is a sad aspect of life. As Voltaire wrote, "...time: The only one who consoles." It is throughout that time, however, that they will always be remembered as great gentelmen and true tifosi.

Wolfgang, as you said, they died in their Ferrari and not by some other cause... They were both enthusiasts filled with passion... This is a very trying time for their family and friends, of which, you seem to be a part of... Talk it out, if you have to... It's a difficult thing to deal with...

I feel horrible, even though I never knew them. Ultimately, that's the law of the world, that we all will pass one day, and none of us knows when.

I remember when Sept 11 happened...I was on my way to see my biggest client on a hugely important deal. I cancelled, turned around, went home to my wife, spent the day with her and told her I love her. I spoiled the kids rotten when they came home from school.

I am leaving now to do the same. I am thankful for the present that is my life...

This may sound wrong right now as there is never a good time to pass, but at least they were doing something they truly loved and enjoyed.

My deepest sympathies to the friends and loved ones they both left behind. May they both Rest in Peace.

If someone knows them personally, perhaps they can make the gesture on behalf of F-chat and its members. I would like to contribute.

Keep this in mind, though. In my opinion, the last thing the family and friends need to hear right now is F-chat coming forward to say we're sorry for what happened unless the gesture is made from someone close to Amar, Jens, and aforementioned family and friends. If it were my friends or loved ones, I know I'd be pointing the finger, no matter how misplaced it would be, at F-chat for being involved. Lets give them time to grieve.

I am sorry. I recall posts from Jens, for sure. And, i believe, Amar as well. Let's do something appropriate for their families at the right time, if only to say that we in this community acknowlege their loss, and wish to offer condolences.

I was thinking the same, obviously there were other f-chat members there with them, so I am sure we can make contact. I beleive Amar was engaged. Not sure if Jens was married

Does someone know them well enough to know who they have left behind? How about an fchat donation to a charity or a college fund?

My condolences go out to their families and friends. It is a very sad day for F-chat to lose two brothers.

I completely agree and will sorely miss them and their friendly, enthusiastic spirit!

My deepest condolances to their families and all concerned.

They will be missed.

Today Amar Inam and Jens Haller died in a horrible crash at the Nurnburgring. It was supposed to be the start of a beautiful European event but a terrible thing went wrong. We are so shocked. Our thoughts go out to their families.

Let us remind them both as the two cheerful guys who really had "la passione".

I will miss them both.

Ton
