Kurt, Service campaign (Recall) 146 replaces the lower front suspension arm forks. The original ones are subject to failure upon heavy impact (i.e. bumps, potholes, etc.) Along with 143 and 144, that does it for recalls on 328s. (According to the Forza Buyers Guide, anyway.) |

just gotta chime in here - bought my 355 spider from francis - everyone treated me great - before and after the sale - had initially went there looking for a car - they didnt have what i was looking for (348ts red/black )-so i kept looking and went to other dealerships that sometimes treated me like shi* and other places treated me well but not nearly as well as algar - later algar got in a 355 spider red/black - lot more than i wanted to spend but great car great dealership so i thought you get what you pay for - haven't regreted it for one minute |

I can defintely tell you that the owner of Ferrari of LI also owns Ferrari of New England. He took it over from the previous owner who failed big-time. BTW, he is also directly related to one of the higher-ups at Fiat. This explains much, don't you think? |

I also have found Algar(Francis) to be very fair and helpful. Though I cancelled my 360 order (felt that 3 years waiting since deposit made was too long) service has been great and my deposit was actually returned after one call and within 6 days. |

Leonardo, Isn't Ferrari of Long Island affiliated with Ferrari of New England ? I had a terrible experience with Ferrari of New England and will be suing them in the near future. |

Lens - what is the recall 146 about? I seem to remember something about suspension, but I am not sure. What other than 143 and 144 (and apparently 146) are applicable for an '86 328 US? Kurt |

I have also had an excellent experience with Algar. I found them to be uncommonly honest and open when selling a vehicle. Their staff has always been professional and they have lived up to every promise made. In my opinion, they stand above most every other dealership I have had dealings with. It was a refreshing change to not have my intelligence insulted while buying a vehicle. They found me an extremely sharp TR they had originally sold and then bought back from the original owner. I recommend them highly. |

I'll second that Algar is great. They have quite an extensive inventory, more so than any other dealer that I've come across. For any part that you're having trouble finding it's worth giving Algar a call because they'll probably have it. All small random parts I get from them. And they deliver next day usually with no extra charge. Definitely a cool dealership. |

Just wanted to let everyone know how impressed I was with Algar Ferrari in Pennsylvania. My father and I contacted them back in May about recall 146 for my 86 328. Marco, the service manager, was true to his word. The parts were ordered, and finally installed (no charge) last Friday. (They even replaced some missing fasteners for me.) He was polite, professional, and really a nice guy. I will consider them when its time for my major service, even though its a two hour drive. I had my PPI done at Ferrari of Long Island, so naturally I asked them about the recall. They said yes, they would order the parts. I never heard back from them. So much for customer service. Its always refreshing, and unfortunately rare these days, to find people who know what theyre doing. |
