Ha! I'm driving a tofu powered POS now according to SOME people, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. (Okay, maybe a 246!) |

Andrew The problem is that it can easily cost 200K to make one of these safe. These were very fragil cars and the tubs are a witches brew of dissimilar corroding metals. As with all things it's about the history. A Lola with history can be worth quite a bit. In addition this is a lot of car for 170K and will probably be worth a lot more than that when we're all driving tofu powered POS's. Best |

I wonder how much this car is worth since you can have a real T70 for 170 000$ |

Is that Switzerland-based Franco Sbarro? He has some wild designs. I love his hubless wheels and bubble-canopied truck. Recently Cycle World had a small blurb about some motorcycle he displayed. I wrote it down and tried to search the web for more info, but couldn't find any. Now I can't even remember the name of this creation. Amazing guy.

Yes. Sabarro has been around for quite some time. At one time he converted some Lola's for the street. I'll check tonight to see if this is a real chassis or a "continuation" built up from from spares. If you look at the chassis plate you can see that this is not a Lola plate or # but is a "Sabarro plate and #" It is what it is but IMHO is more than a Kit car and less than a real one, esp. one with history. |

Since the engine is from a Lusso, I'll venture an opinion it's a glorified kit car. Nice though! |
