TREVI.
I contacted as many people as I could in reference to the register. Why you do not trust me is unknown to me. I thought the the register would be a great Idea. I have over 450 cars on there at the moment!! more the better. If you can help me that would be great.

Thanks
Steve

what you are doing does not look very serious to me, you even spammed the ferrari owner's site. for me this is also the reason why i do not send you my details on my mondial t cab, from what i know about you, there is no reason for me to trust you.
for me your behaviour is questionable.

In answer to removing tarnish from the Team Voodoo aluminum knob I use Mothers Mag Polish, the cream. It shines like chrome and doesn't tarnish as quickly as it used to.
I am also guilty of plugging a non-sponsor on this site in my zeal to be helpful and I apologize to the sponsors here.

Dr. S, shipment came this morning from the composites manufacturing company, so your knob will go out Priority Mail TODAY! Sorry for the delay.

By the way, I have 3 extras available now if anyone else is interested -- $110 each including shipping within the U.S. 47mm (355/360 size but will fit 308/328/348/TR) black Carbon Fiber over aluminum threaded core with 5-speed shift pattern under the resin. Any profit will goes to our local Ferrari Club. Otherwise we'll probably use them as raffles or door prizes at our local Ferrari Club events.

Also, Sodacoms now has a supply, as does Steve Harris Imports.

I did not raise it to shadow my site at all. I just mentioned it becuase this seems very minor compared to things that have happened and can happen at anytime. I am willing to sponsor but I am calculating the cost. most of the sponsors do this for a full-time job, This is not mine. Is it ok to see how things go first? (open to all members to comment. Thanks guys Steve

because, you come here push your site, then say you will look into becoming a sponsor, find out the price, publicly balk at it and accuse the webmaster of making money on something he started and spends tons of time and money on, I stand by my post

Tom!
What is the point in raising the price? you will get even less people sponsoring the site. I thought we are all adults. Why argue over this. Life is to short as I am sure we all know, Taking recent events into consideration. Steve. "look no web address"!!!!

you must be making money by spamming the site otherwise you would not do it, If I was Rob I would raise the price for you. You got some set. If you agree to sponsor the site for two years I will pay for your first month

Hello all.
I just received the info on the sponsorship $200-$300 a month!! I am considering it. as I said it is not a large earner for me so it may be difficult to justify the outlay. I appreciate that sponsorship keeps the site going but the site must be making money. It is not very expensive at all to keep a site on line. Thanks Steve. www.myownferrari.com

Steve,

if you are serious about becoming a sponsor, then you should wait to find out the information you are seeking, instead of spamming the site. Sponsors make this site possible and you should understand that

Is that what I am doing? Hyping my products??? Steve. www.myownferrari.com. I am trying to find out the prices to become a sponsor, but nobody seems to what to help me. I guess they don't need the revenue.

Steve, not true. For example, I support both Paul Hill, who is am FChat sponsor, and also UltimatePedals.com, who is not. They both make excellent products and have been very helpful and contribute to FChat in a variety of ways and posts, not just hyping their products.

If it's a Voodoo, knob, the polish will work great. If it's from ST Corsa (or perhaps some other brand), it has a clearcoat, which doesn't take long to get messed up.

It seems to me you do not like people who are not Ferrari chat sponsors who offer items for sale. Why is this? Just because someone sponsors the site does not guarantee all the business for themselves. Thanks Steve www.myownferrari.com Someone who is trying but not getting a reply to become a sponsor.

Mitch, I polish my knob all the time!! :-)

I always use the semi-chrome and it does an outstanding job......is it possible that your knob has been coated with an acrylic or a "poly" type coating....I've seen some like this......

Try professional automotive polish - with fine abrasive, like 3M Perfectit III. Just make sure to take it out of the car, first.

I bought an aluminum polished knob a year ago. I used it for like a month, and it tarnished because my palms sweat when I am pushing the car!! Now I have no idea how to clean it!! I have tried that Simichrome polish, nothing works!!

Aluminum core for the shift knob, but that's not going to be the case for the door sills nor the dash gauge cluster plates.

Mike, I think our projects differ in the fundamental construction techniques used. Yours are alumunum cored, mine are composite. Which is better? That's probably entirely subjective. I'm glad we agree that the larger size is the way to go for all models. Feel free to e-mail me @

thanks Mike

Jerry, yeah, with as great as the aluminum knobs from www.TeamVoodo.com felt in the hand, that's why I had these CF knobs designed around a similar aluminum blank, and in the same hand-filling size at 47mm (355 and 360 size, but fit perfectly on 308/328/348/TR cars). There are advantages to being in on the design and prototyping process! By the way, if anyone wants to order them, Dave at Sodacom (FerrariChat sponsor) now has a good supply in hand. If you prefer it plain and without a shift pattern on it, it sounds like Chris at Valence (another FerrariChat sponsor) will be the way to go.

Our next projects will be 308/328 door sills, and 308/328 dash guage panels, again built to my specs. I know these are available as Japanese imports, but we expect these U.S. manufactured versions to be less money for same or better quality.

Chris/Valence -- we might want to touch bases so we complement each other's projects, rather than duplicate them.

Ours will be available Thursday - 47mm with 5 speed, 6 speed, and no shift pattern. The material is plain weave, like the factory (ferrari) knobs. They are solid - carbon skin filled with an epoxy/aluminum/carbon composite, and aluminum threads. Just a head's up for those interested in an alternative.

I've emailed DrS offline. The Carbon Fiber knobs are being manufactured by Composite Resources Co. and they took longer than planned since they decided to redo the tooling for the production knobs versus the one-at-a-time process, so that the quality would be better and consistent. They've completed 15 and they've shipped; DrS's will be in the next batch, which is supposed to ship to me this Thursday (yeah, I know, they've already missed two promised dates). But Dave at Sodacom DID get his shipment, so I know they're actually making these things as fast as they can!

I'm sorry for the delay... I've paid for these things already too. If you want your money back, I'll be glad to give it to you via PayPal, but if you can just be patient a few more days... or I'll be glad to send you the prototype CF knob that's on my car right now in tomorrow's mail!
