Yeps, got your message Jim. Thanks. There are actually THREE different posters for the 1968 Le Mans 24 Hours. 1) The original 1968 race was planned for June 15 & 16, 1968 but was postponed due to strikes (what else in France in that era?). That poster is depicted below in Martin's post. 2) The actual race took place on September 28 & 29, 1968 and the ACO produced a new poster for it (see below). I don't have any vintage ones available at the moment but working on replenishing my stock.
3) The third one is ULTRA scarce and I have only seen one of it in my entire life and that one is now in my personal collection. Right after having to cancel the race in June, the ACO picked the new dates in September. As no new poster could be produced so quickly but as they still wanted to advertise the new dates per immediate, "June" posters were modified. I never took any pictures of mine so here is a digital interpretation of it:
In short, the blue bottom part was sliced off and a red overprint was made at the top with the new dates. As far as I know and have been able to verify, only a couple dozen of these "interim" posters were ever made for direct use in the city of Le Mans and vicinity. Only a few have survived to today. Jim, if you're interested, I also have a 1967 programme booklet in mint condition on the website. Best regards, Jack |

Hi Faisal, If you're into the Monaco posters, take a look at www.TheF1Store.com... There is an authographed 1973 poster on the opening page and a whole lot more in the "Monaco GP Posters" section. You can also access the Monaco page directly at http://www.thef1store.com/index.html?target=dept_132.html&lang=en-us Damn... I DO have too many websites... Best regards, Jack |

Jack, great site! I really enjoy browsing the posters. I collect old Monaco Grand Prix posters. Think I will have to start a Le Mans collection as well. Thanks, Faisal. |

Yeah, I've been "out of the running" a bit lately... Went to Le Mans, came back completely worn out and got ill right after that. More of less back on my feet now. I DID bring some nice posters back from Le Mans though. Check www.ExperienceLeMans.com for them. Best, Jack |

I admit, it's a bit early for a fleece but last year we couldn't get them in time for winter so this year I made sure we have them in stock in time... ;-) Jack |
