ROFLMAO... Martin, you crack me up. You're right, F360, F355, F150... no difference... haha.. Does your ranger have original bolts or any rust in the bed? Be careful, our concourse judges are very strict on that! Better check with Hertz to make sure you have all original parts... DES - toothbrush...and extra underwear... Matt's 308 is all tuned up, and driving better than ever - you might just soil your pants in his passenger seat! LOL It'll be an awesome weekend, guys... B. |

Well, if you guys do a concourse I will park my ride in there as well. I know they usually have the manual in a plastic pouch in the glove compartment. Its all clean and has the factory original bed-cover. happy judging |

I will bring some fender decals to slap on that baby. My estimate is I will get extra 30HP out of the Ranger that way. Maybe a racing stipe for another 10HP. We have to take pictures of the F-car. |

I forget what I ordered from Avis, but it is bigger than a ford feista The car only cost like 80 bucks for the weekend, so no big deal |

Des, for some reason I get the feeling you are excited. Is that true???? Hey I am looking forward to the trip as well. Booked my hotel yesterday for Friday night. Flight is confirmed....hm, hope I do not forget the toothbrush myself. Now all I have to do is get the confirmation for the Vegas hotel. Waiting for Matt here. Circus Circus has good room rates that weekend. My F-car is ordered and we will receive it at the airport in Long Beach for the weekend ride. 2+2 this time and good luggage capability. Ah it will be a sweet ride. I will let you drive her around the block as well if you want

"Smoke cigs in a Ferrari? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!" ROTFLMAO! Scotty, I'm a cigar smoker, so I have about ten times the amount ash floating around the cars than a cigarette smoker will ever accumulate. |

Darn I wanted to smoke two cig's in your new car! I hope everything will go as you planned it. If the guys are smart enough, they will stage a good practical joke on you, like showing up for the delivery only to bring you to a like-car that just had a tree fall on it!..I can see the post..'Des in hospital after suffering a stroke while picking up his new Ferrari'! |

LOL, PeterS, i'm not getting a new car...! i'm flying out to Southern California the weekend of 7/11 to meet Matt, Byron, J.L., Jordan, Tom from NJ, Martin from, um... Florida...? and a slew of others...! The folks out there went through a lot of trouble just so i could be there for their Ferrari Driving Club launch and everyone went out of their way to make it the best experience of my life... i'll be sure to tell you all about it if, er, when i come back... |

It was lunchtime... i gave my mailbox one last look before i left the office... back and forth emails with people from California had my mind ablaze with a burning anticipation to skip through time and have tomorrow be July 11th... i got in my car, started it up, put it in first and away i went. "So much has been discussed... So much has been planned... So many people i've been dying to meet... Everything seems to be going so smoothly..." i shifted into second and continued down the road. "My flight reservations are confirmed, i'll do some light packing, i'll find a way to get to the airport, i'll land and then whatever happens after that is completely cool with me... i can't recall a time, other than my meeting with EFWUN and my subsequent first ride in a Ferrari, that i've looked forward to something this much... Only this time, i'll be driving Ferraris...!" i shifted into third, lit a cigarette and hit play on my CD player. "Everything's going a little too smoothly, though... What am i missing...? i feel like i'm missing something... have i covered all my bases...? My flight is confirmed, my boss knows i'll be gone that Friday and possibly the following Monday, i have plenty of clean underwear and socks, sleeping arrangements have been made - oh, wait a minute... maybe i should email Ron and let him know that i snore heavily... People have heard me in other rooms, sometimes on other floors, before..." i shifted into fourth and dragged deeply from my cigarette, singing with the blaring music in between thoughts as i exhaled. "So it seems as though i'm all set... i can't wait...! Everyone out in California has been so accomodating and generous; they're really nice people... i can't wait to meet them all, i know we're gonna have the most fun i've ever had..." i shifted the car into neutral and put my blinker on, signaling my need to make a right turn; i slowed at the corner, took another deep drag from my cigarette, blipped the throttle, put the car in second as i rounded the corner and lunged down the hill. "...and i'm gonna drive a Ferrari for the first time...! WHOOOOOOOO...! i just need to remember to bring my tooth brush." |
