It was the ACE . It looked like a great place. I may look into opening up a similar theme restaurant in the Atlanta area. |

The Speed show WAS about the Ace Cafe. Looked just like it was in Southern California, except that it was raining! ;-) Also there was an article in F1 magazine about one of the drivers (Fisichella??) who lives in London and likes to hang out at a F1-themed bar/restaurant. Is that the F1 Cafe in Mayfair that James mentioned? |

Hi, Probably the Ace Cafe. Was a favourite 50s and 60s petrolhead hang-out, and re-opened a year or two ago. Located on the North Circular road (A406) in North London. Do a search on Google. Or... Could be the F1-cafe in Mayfair? HTH, James W (Lotus Esprit for now, but looking at 328s..)

Andrew, on the program it showed a nice looking restaurant with a lot of cars and people out front. The story was that the restaurant was a happening hot rod hangout in the 1960s and 1970s. It closed down back then and was only reopened a few years back by new owners who wanted to bring back the car nostalgia of years gone by. Car clubs all over the UK supposely have meetings and shows there and it has again became a happening spot for car nuts. |

I saw a program on Speed the other day that had a story about an auto theme restaurant that recently reopened somewhere in the UK. Does anyone on FC know the name of that restaurant ? |
