I say it's an ace idea! I really can't think of clothing more sheep-like in which to hide your wolf. |

Agreed Pete.. Hate to go american though... The joke would be opening the hood and seeing a 20k engine in a 500. dollar Jeep. Crap paint and crap interior... but exotic horsepower. Used to be a common thing in the 60's and 70's. Road and track ran many a story about weird mixes. Ford wagons with V 12 engines and such. It's a toy really... conversation piece |

Er, I do not know what a Samuari is, but I would prefer that the 2.4 Ferrari V6's are saved for Ferraris (or Lancia Stratos's). Plus if you can fit a v6 in there then you probably can fit a small block Chev in too. They are very compact! Sounds like a lot of work for 5 minutes fun. And the driveline will need attention to ... I have been keeping an old Beater Samuari. I have made several under the skin updates but let its finish go to heck. I plan on swapping out the engine and was thinking of choices. I have a Lotus 910 that could go in and also a 2.5 Maserati V6 from a Biturbo. The space won't fit a V8 but I have toyed with putting in a 2.4 Ferrari V6. It would be fun to drive around and screw with the kiddies. I was always amused by stories of some of the old beaters that had Nascar engines under the hood for street play. BTW If I keep the old drivetrain I am limited to about 140 horses. Good news.. plenty of room to put in whatever. |
