All I could say is I was glad I got on the waiting list back in Feb 2000. It only took a little over one year to get the car. Had I hesitated to get on the waiting list, I'd be looking at a 2 year wait or worse.

What waiting list should I get on for my next Ferrari? 575? The next V8 car? F60(It's a long shot)?

Wow, I couldn't imagine waiting three or four years for a car. I am not a patient guy, maybe I should put a deposit down now! Just kidding... I waited two months for my car (not a Ferrari) and that was the longest two months of my life!

Frank, An astonishing fact confirmed today: There has never been a SINGLE 360 Coupe for sale, unregistered on a showroom floor (in the US) since the introduction of the car back in 1999 !!
What you refer to are resales.

That's my thought, if the thing is going to take so long to get it will almost be replaced by Ferrari by then.

Go to Ferrari of San Francisco, I heard Noel Lee Pres. of Moster Cable who bought 2 360 both red, one hard top one convertible and only waited 4 months to get them. Personally, I don't have the patience to wait for something that would soon to be old if you can sort of relate to what I'm saying.

I get how the system works, I was just saying to this day it is a 70/30 cut. Like a year ago it was an 80/20 cut for example. I would think with the prices coming down on coupes you would almost be better off just buying one, unless of course you want some incredibly rare unattainable package.

Bret, they build only what is ordered. If they build 70% F1, that is because 70% of the orders is F1. That is why the waiting time between F1 and manual and spider and coupe is equal. We need more allocation to the US. WWoC told me that the list is getting longer and not shorter. Robert is one year ahead of me and gets his car 2 years earlier.

Frank is correct..what he's not telling you is that these cars on the floor of the dealership are way above sticker....I bought a used one eights months ago and paid over. If you want to play you have to pay...I have no patience to wait for a car...I WAS GOING TO BE A DOCTOR BUT I DIDN'T HAVE THE PATIENCE.

Frank, it's not true that there is no wait on coupes. I've been on the waiting list here in Atlanta for 2 years and was recntly told by the manager at the local dealership that my turn to order would probably not come up until next year. That would make at least a 3 year wait. I was also told that a 20% decrease in allocation of cars to the US this year is further delaying the wait. Most dealerships are only getting 8 or so 360 coupes per year as their allocation. With those numbers, its not surprising that now 4 years into a production run that there is still a long wait on new 360's.

There should be no wait on a coupe. A lot of dealers including FOA have one or more sitting on their showroom floor justing waiting for some one to buy them.

Ray

The dealer can check the status of your order on-line and if it has been accepted for building a tentative delivery date will be listed there.

I am told by my dealership that the situation is less clear/predictable with the Coupe than the wiyh the Spider.
Even though Spider delivery is longer, it is more orderly than Coupes', so more accurately predictable.

I didn't get my Spider in 3-4 months. I put a deposit down and got on "the list" in 1999 and got my car Feb '02 3-4 months after the order went in and was accepted by the factory. You should ask your dealer if the order was accepted. As we all know, anyone can get a car in 3-4 hours if your willing to pay the price.

4 years to wait for a car, now that's patience. How can some people get theirs in 4 months and some people in 4 years? Ferrari bastards. 70% of 360s are F1, the other 30% is stick.

According to WWoC the waitlist is four years long, if you are accepted. They try to screen for people that turn around and sell the cars for a profit. It makes no difference which model you choose, they produce following on the orderlist. It's not a matter of production, but a matter of allocation. The US gets "only" 25% of the output. As long as the allocation does not change the wait will not get shorter. When I ordered a spider, there were 93 waiting ahead of me. I'm now one year on the list, so still three years to go

I got on the waiting list in Feb 2000. The car arrived April 2001 (about 4 months after sending the order specs to the factory). If you special order something, like custom colors or anything not on the options list, it will take time (add 3 months just to be safe). Yes, more F1's are built than the stickshift model.

Thanx for you help but i don't know if i am on the list or my car is on order. The manager at the dealership got all my information and said he is going to put the car in the computer with my specs and now it is up to Ferrari to pick it up.. I really don't know what that means whether i am still on a list or my car is on order?? So is it 4 months from that point or something else happens along the way.

You may be on "the list" but your car isn't really on order until they ask you to spec it out i.e. colors, options etc and send this to the factory. Then you get your car about 3-4 months later. This is what happened with my new 360. You may have to wait a bit longer if you order a non F1. I was told most are being built with F1's which are easier to schedule but this could just be dealer excuses.
Good luck. It will be worth the wait.

Hi this is my first time on this site and i was wondering if anyone from past experience could shed some light on where i stand. My dealership told me I am the next one on his list for a 360 Modena. Based on past experience how long is my wait left for the car? Also once the car gets into production how long before it arrives at the dealership?
