That's exactly what I had in mind - but I don't know the area at all. Any suggestions?

Ben,

I was thinking maybe we could head out of the city. One: getting a group of our cars there is going to be hectic, no matter what. Two: opportunity to drive away from the city, which is always good. Three: He'll have been in the city again for a few days - nice to get out and see something else.

An early-ish dinner (of course, I eat around midnight) affords us both light to drive, ability to see scenic things, and also the opportunity to accomodate more individuals who have other obligations.

Norm- SWEET 360 man!!!

Dinner sounds like a good event guys, any recomendations?

St. Francis is a neat hotel, was all around there for the Stereophile show a few years back. Top of the hill there is a cool area, I dig on the square.

How about dinner on Saturday, the 19th?

Guys?? I don't know what you might have in mind, but if you're open to driving somewhere, perhaps we could all meet in Marin somewhere for dinner, and someone could pick you up along the way (I can do it, no problem, if there's no love otherwise :-) ). THat way you get a drive, and get out of the city.

How does that sound? And Marin-ites will have to suggest a good spot for dinner.

Thanks guys that would be great. I will be in town from the 17th to the 20th of July (again staying at the Westin St. Francis). I am taking an extensive continuing education course at UOP that usually runs the whole day, but would be up for dinner or hanging out after around 5 or 6pm.

Thanks to everyone for coming out to play. (Taek and BEn)

Headed North on 1 all the way to Bodega, and had a fantastic drive. I'm getting a better feel for this car! :-) Very fun drive, and except for a few slowpokes aside, including one M3, the road was clear.

Taek,

That excuse is so good, I think you should go for it! I know you won't buy one otherwise...

Vincent: Pity. Did they at least let you take it out? If not, no worries, you're more than welcome when the service is done.

And guys - this whole early morning thing...means you have to wake up early! :-)

Wonderful news! Congratulations on NERO 550!!!! You HAVE ordered the tags right?
I won't be able to play with you all tomorrow as NERO QV is going to be with Mark S. this week for Tbelts and 15K service. Have fun and drive safely.

C'mon Ben, let's go up there and say we're interested in purchasing a blk/blk 550 Maranello.

Buy it for a dollar more than Dan is paying and sell it to him after at a higher price. Upload

Much thanks, Ben. It should be there for a while, because it's got to have a 30k done. So I'm paying for it today, but won't pick it up for another week. :/ Plus, I'm still here right now...haven't trekked up yet. :-)

Dan! Congrats on the 550!

I'll see if I can make it down there, funny thing I'm moving one of the offices today too.

Want to see if I can sneak a peek at the Stradale again, and see Dan's new car!

Best!
Ben.

Vincent:

As soon as I wake up. My 550 is waiting, although I'm basically going to take possession, and then send it over to service for the 30k (it's a 97 w/ 12k).

If you get there before I do, say hello to the black / black one!

Hmmm...

Saturday I'm going to be busy. I'm in the process of moving and the movers are scheduled for 11AM. Guess I'll have to check out FoSF some other time. I might call you if I can get someone to chaperone the moving folks. What time are you guys (Dan and Vincent) going to FoSF?

I'm in for Sunday though. I want to get used to driving this C5. It doesn't get out much so it'll be a good time to shake off the cobwebs.

Looking forward to seeing F-cars tearing up the PCH!

Parkside Cafe in Stinson is supposed to be good breakfast (though I've never tried it, who's up for an adventure?;)

Furthur north, the Station House cafe is a great dinner place, they also do the breakfast... http://www.stationhousecafe.com/menus/breakfast.html

Do I smell a little group meeting at FoSF on Sat around noon? (they're closed SUN I belive, only chance to sneak into upstairs methinks... mmm, it's been too long! :-)

Noel- please bring Barbi!

Best!

Taek,

I was trying to get something going for this Sunday, and am still up for it. My Dad is still in town and he is game as well. We could meet in the area of FoSF and head over to stinson and up 1 for a while. Anybody know a good breakfast place?

Our last weekend has gotten my dad thinking, and tommorrow we are heading to FoSF to take a look at some of the cars in the showroom. :-) I've been warned that I need to make more room in the garage. :-)

Dan,

When are you planning on being there? We're thinking of going around 11 or 11:30.

Taek,

i don't think they are open on Sunday.

Noel,

Sorry about the picture. But it does make for enthusiast of the day, if not month!

I'm definitely game for Sunday.

Vincent.

What time on Sunday? I remember Vincent organizing something for this Sunday.

Where, when, who, how, why?

If it's in FoSF I want to stay long enough to see that upstairs section you guys keep talking about.

I'm game as long as Noel brings his Ferrari Barbie.

The Porsche is off limits for me because my wife has taken quite a liking to the car and you couldn't pry the keys from her hand with a crowbar! She gets the yellow key and I get the red one. Surprised she didn't just give me the valet key and leave it at that.

Anyway, the Corvette should be able to keep up.

Cheers
