I have used a company here in the Atlanta area called ADS to touch up my cars on many occasions. They use an airbrush. They have done a great job every time. |

I would probably go to the dealer. If you are a do-it-yourselfer, there is a product called Langka (http://www.langka.com/) that many swear by. Just an idea... I know how you feel, I had my new car for two weeks and a rock got kicked up and nicked the hood. However my scrath was all the way into the fiberglass. Happened on my birthday too! Darn rocks... |

Great. Thanks for the advice. Can you recommend a touch up paint company and website?

I'd stay away from any sort of polish or wax that's supposed to cover nicks. I just stay away from any firm that has to do infomercials. Get the touch-up paint in the exact color. Open the cap, there will be a brush in the cap, cut that off and throw it away, it doesn't work unless you're painting the entire hood. Use the end of a toothpick or a pin and carefully fill in the nick. After it dries you won't be able to see a thing....Norm |

Isn't there polish or scratch filler that may work as well? |

Warren, Believe it or not that's my first name, Look in the yellow pages under Dent Removal and some of these places now have a technique that hey can repair the chip and ,Believe me!, you cannot tell it. It is relatively new but it is great. |

First, I finally got insurance, Leland West decided to take a chance on me. Thank you everyone for your suggestions and THANK YOU LELAND! Second, drove the 355 everywhere and had a lot of fun, but felt a little too self conscious the first couple times out. Third, came home today and saw a nick on the hood of the car probably caused by loose gravel or something. It's about the size of a tip of a permanent marker and its not deep at all but it's white which makes it really easy to see and it's driving me insane. What's the best way to get rid of it without painting. What do you guys recommend? |
