Pop the clutch in second. That will start the car. No problem with the electrical system. |

Jeff, Best to disconnect the battery (can use the battery switch), Charge fully, hook up the battery and go. As you felt, jumpstarting can for sure damage the electronic systems of the car. Best to play it safe, Good luck and good driving Best regards, Jim |

I think you'll be fine jump-starting it. IMO, of course. The owners manual even tells you how to do it, so I suspect it's not a bad thing... |

Finally recovered from a 5 month long battle from knee surgery and went to drive the car, but there wasn't enough juice to crank the motor. All other electronics seem to be working fine (windows, alarm, etc) Can I hook up some jumper cables and give it a try or will I screw something up with the electrical system? |
