I am thinking there should be some Ferraris at the Brian Redman Classic at Road America, weekend of July 18 (?) Can anyone shed some light on this?

Dave-Mario is right, there are several Ferraris in the area. However, there are very few owners that attend any of the local functions, and the cars themselves are rarely ever seen simply driving down the road.

As for Mario, I have only seen his car at two events so far and haven't really spoken with him all that much. He seems like a really nice guy and appears to know most everyone at the gatherings. There is a car show going on this weekend. If I see him, I will tell him you said hi.

Christopher, tell me about Mario with the 512 BBi. I have spoken with him for over 5 yrs, and yet to meet him. I thought you had a fairly lg. group of Ferrari's there. At least that is the picture Mario painted for me

John,
Do you have any more info on the Waterford Hills race? I don't see it listed as either website and it is much closer to me than the Gingerman race.

Thanks to all of you who have been kind enough to respond. Maybe things aren't as bad as I think.

John Biscak...I am in Coldwater. I will get some time off work and attend the events you described. Thank You.

Chris McCormick...I do share your pain...but like you said....we sure do stand out in the crowd.

Jeff, you think Michigan is bad....try Boise, Idaho. I can just about count the Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Panteras that are in our car club on both hands.

I guess on the plus side, they really stand out when we drive them.

Hello Jeff I was wondering where you live I live in Harrison Twp on Lake St Clair. The next event is July 23rd at Waterford Hills race track sponsored by Cauley Ferrari I went two years ago alot of fun even if you don't run car on track.
On august 2nd is Italian Concours at Edsel Ford Estate.
I was talking to Dave Wexall said for Woodward cruise will be special location for Ferrari's.
If you have any ideas on what you would like to see Michigan Chapter of FCA have for events please let us know your ideas.

Oh yeah, and try getting in touch with Dave Wexall and John Bicsak on this board - they are actively re-starting the Michigan Ferrari club chapter.

Yeah, on Saturday August 2nd there will be an Italian car show (Concorso d' Italia) at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford Estate in Grosse Pointe Shores. They had their first one last year, and it was really nice. Cauley Ferrari has a dinner event the night before. The show is well worth seeing. Mostly Ferrari, and some other nice Italian exotic cars as well - current and classic. Hope to see you there!

I'm in Michigan and it seems that with very few exceptions, there isn't much activity relating Ferraris in my area. I'm a bit jealous as I read posts about gatherings for dinner, coffee, and carshows in other areas of the country. There was an Italian carshow in K'zoo last year that was small, but very nice. And there is the Gingerman Raceway event later this summer, my favorite!! Can anyone share info. on some other events in the midwest for us "Ferrari-starved" folks? Thanks for listening.
