Having owned a '95 spider, and currently owning a '98 TS, the spider headrests do not come with the cavallo. TB's and TS's do. Spider headrests must be thinner to accomodate the top when it retracts. I have yet to see any spider with the cavallo, but I do understand why you would be concerned. I know I questioned it. Rest assured that the headrests in your car are correct.

I have a 1994 348 Spider and my seats do not look like the ones in your photo. But, a lot of 348 and 355 parts are interchangable. It's not unheard of for different cars to come from the factory with different parts.

Mitch, mine is a 355 spider , hence the differences with your tb, the thinner headrests accomodate the front of the roof when folded, also the bulkhead is different for the same reason.

Andrew, I checked them with my colleague's 348 and they are definitely 355 seats, and subsequently i have checked with maranello here in the uk and not all 355s uk supplied had the detailing. either way i would like to buy some new ones with the horse so any suggestions would be appreciated.

The sewing on the seats look F355, doors look F355, but the contour of the headrests looks thinner than my 95 F355. In addition, the leather wrap near the back glass looks wrong--mine goes in a small ledge, then a little 1.5" (verticle) leather strap as window dressing. Finally, the seat belt attachemnt looks different.

My 96 has the horse. The seats do look like they are out of a 348, it should have the horse, maybe they've been covered again?

I am sure the seats are original. Just strange to see how much they are alike with the 348s.

The headrest is kind of strnage as well. Even with all the changes to RHD why change the headrest? I am sure the seats are the same as the LHD.

Also on the spider, the design may be different to accomodate the roof when down

I think the headrests are original, as are the seats, this is a UK supplied RHD car, so may be differences to US spec.

all 355s had them I believe!

give us a picture of your headrest and we can tell you if somebody replaced it. Maybe a guy that had a 348 and 355 swapped them when he sold you the car?

The head rests on my 355 spider don't have the prancing horse detailing. Was this an option originally, and can you buy them separately?
