I occasionally check in here even after I've parted with my 308. It brings a tear to my eye to see my baby on here. Take care of her Lee and remember, I've still got a set of keys. If she's ever mistreated....... ;)

Lee H: Are those 2-piece speedlines? From the photos it looks like a single piece casting, polished or chromed instead of painted. I can't find what model wheel that might be, as I'm interested in a set like that, especially if they could be had in 17".

For SE event schedule, keep an eye on our website calendar, at

HRE's are in the garage....I put the stockers on since it takes a bit of the "boy racer" image out of the car....

I think they were scaring potential buyers off :-) since the TR is *still* for sale (but now with working seat belt retractors!).

They are safe and sound though and still look pretty mean.

Had a great time meeting up with you guys, even if it was only for 15 min. Longer next time.

We should try to get a few more East Tenn guys together....there are suprisingly many F-cars out this way......

Mike,

They are 16" speedlines. I'm interested in doing so SE events. I do have a truck and trailer, so not much excuse not to!

Lee P,

I'm not familiar with the July 13th event. Unfortunately for me I have ANG duty that weekend. I drive the Dragon about once a month though... its prescribed medicine around here!

Mike: If I had a trailer, or access to one, I'd be there every time. I'll be looking for one soon.

Lee H: what kind of wheels are those on your car? They look great.

It would sure be great to have more of the Knoxville folks come to some of the SE club events. Lee Pierce came down to our Talladega track event several months ago, as did Daniel Bustamante with his 360. I occasionally see Greg Rogers with his 308 at some of the Atlanta events.

"Its nice to see some italian cars out and about in the land of pickup trucks..."

Couldn't have said it better, Lee! This may sound trite, but it's actually kind of....well,...lonely having such a passion in such a dry (but beautiful) part of the world.

Had a great time today, watching Civics, Cobras, Mustangs, Corvettes, Mazdas, Subarus, and one VERY nice '72 Pantera tear it up around the cones. If you've never been to an event like this, I HIGHLY recommend it. I didn't today, but next time I'm definitely running the 308. Of course I'll be competing against myself only; a stock '78 Ferrari ain't no match for most of the things out there. (But they look better doing it, for damned sure.)

Enjoyed meeting you guys and remember July 13 for the Dragon.

Zonked out from tooooo much excitement I reckon :-)

The early 308s look so clean ... best of that styling IMO.

I'm sure this isn't thread-worthy, but a few f-chatters in the Knoxville area met today at the local SCCA autocross. Here are some pics. Mike Grande has the black '88.5 TR, Lee Pierce has the red '78 308, the the black '79 308 is mine. Its nice to see some italian cars out and about in the land of pickup trucks...

Lastly, even a Ferrari can't keep everyone's interest... my four-year-old later in the day zonked out...
