I was at Cavallino when they unloaded Ron's car, I have to very careful here. I thought the car had been wrecked and the tail was in primer... And that is being kind... Sorry, but I never found an appealing attribute to the custom work on his car... But the bottom line is, if Ron likes it, then it is perfect. No reason to criticize. |

Yikes - let me rephrase that - I'm not the fat girl in that scooter. The Piaggio is my scooter(pit bike) and is the "Official commuter of Scuderia Ferrari" ...or so it says. Thank you Tim - but I plan to have cats instead of boyfriends.......less trouble (wink)

I guess i'll give you a call later... I dont give a damn if my friends see me in a fat girls ferrari. I may sound really shallow for saying that but u are misunderstanding me. If she has a ferrari then she has the ferrari passion. Maybe i could knock her up and the resulting shotgun wedding would make it half mine too (joking). Ed, u are so right. Thats one of the funnist things ive read in a while. Its mean but true. |

Yikes - if I could be a tart Tim - you'd be the guy for me with that comment! but remember - fat girls are like scooters ... fun to ride til your friends see ya on one! but my piaggio is great! |

I personally think some people should be barred from buying spandex pants. They should be actually denied the right to purchase and wear them. |

Touche', Nika. Actually, I always tell her "no", which happens to be the truth (nice, convenient coincidence, eh?). As to talking about this car, I was being charitable. When we saw it in person, and touched the leather on the rear of the car, we had to walk away, because we began laughing out loud...and didn't want to be rude in case Mr. Spangler was within earshot. I assure you, this think is MUCH more hideous & tacky in person than it is in these photos. Sorry, when it comes to a travesty of this magnitude, there is no tactful way around it. The guys at the factory probably had to take a grappa-filled Personal Day after they built it, IMO...... |

As I said: PIMP-MO-BILE, baby! I'm not sure if the front splitter or the side skirts are leather--we didn't touch them--but the looked it. However, it may just be paint texture, since stones & other road detritus would seriously screw up leather placed down that low. But you never know. But the rear section is DEFINITELY leather--I touched it with my own right hand! Gag me with a chain saw. |

Just saw what you're talking about. Is that seriously a leather panel on the rear? Just do the whole thing in leather. It would probably look better. I guess the 70's fashions are coming back. Surprised there wasn't a 360 "Woody" somewhere on the site. |

well - "to each his own" I'd say. But even I wouldn't order a pink Ferrari! The leather cuts away the smooth flow of the car's design, not my style! |

Hang on..... I just went back to barchetta.cc and had another look at spanglers 550 BP. The rear end looks terrible (Dave - I must have been acting stupid - it looks metal enough to me ). But that's not the end. The front splitter is gold as is a small portion of the side skirting.... What the hell was he thinking? Would Ferrari build a pink 360 if a customer specified it? I know for a fact that Enzo would have told such a customer to get lost. This is appalling. And what is the obsession that Rappers have with making their cars look as godawful as possible.... chromed wheels etc....(although, unusually they look good on Modman's Diablo) |

Dave - Mate, maybe I'm just thick (or I've misunderstood) but you're not talking about the Gold rear-coloured section are you...... You're not serious?? The interior looks weird enough (I personally have never like coloured steering wheels). Sick |

Manu, that's not paint. Most of it is LEATHER. No BS--my wife and I saw & touched it in person at Cavallino in January. And almost gagged. Yuck! But to each their own, eh?. I bet the boys in Maranello usually only get requests for thay type of "customization" from rap stars and Middle Eastern oil potentates. They must think of sacrileges of this sort as desecration of their pieces of art. Just MHO, of course... |

Maranelloman - how right mate..... Spanglers Barchetta is disgusting. Yet another example of how money and class certainly don't always go hand in hand.... disgusting.... Ferrari should tell people who want to paint their cars like that to piss off. |

You can find it here. Wm Hart's car is #66, as he's explained before. Maranelloman is right. Every pimp dreams of having that car next to his Lincoln pickup truck http://www.barchetta.cc/All.Ferraris/550-barchetta-colors/index.html |

I'd like to see a picture of it. Anyone have some? I saw a Dino once that was painted two tone black and gold. It looked like a black car with a disguise kit on it....and it looked ugly. That's the only Ferrari I would use that adjective on.

Let's call it what it is: Spangler's Barchetta is HIDEOUS. Looks like a pimpmobile minus the rap stars. (OK, I'm ready for the barrage of hate mail) |

There was a yellow that used to be on Dinos that's not as hard or bright as the current fly yellow that ferrari now offers. More like that bamboo yellow that you used to see on Rollers and or the primrose color on E types. Since you could special order paint, i wouldn't be suprised that somebody pulled a different yellow out of the hat. Ron Spangler's is yellow + leather exterior panels :unique, i'll leave it at that. |

I just went to FOD at lunch to see the "clown shoes". I almost forgot about the shoes, because right by the front door they have a yellow/black 550 Barchetta. Only 3100 miles and #317 out of 449. The sale price was "Inquire". How much is that? |
