Doody, it's the spec stuff. I just happened to stumble on a way to order it direct from Shell rather than having to go to a dealer. It will be a week or two before I will have a chance talk with my contact to find out price and order some up. It looks like these would be the post popular: 5W-40 15-50 10w-60 I will try to get a few cases of each to start out. Once I have them in hand I will post prices and find out what shipping costs might be. |

Mark - I'm interested if you're talking about the spec 5W40 for the 550 and late 355s (the earlier 355s spec'd Agip before the Shell sponsorship switchover - fwiw). Dealer cost is apparently just under $10 all-in. Doody. |

I would be interested also. I currently use Mobil 1 15-50 for my 360. Do they have that weight oil also? |

I have been using Shell Helix Ultra Racing 10-60w the same as what the new ENZO using. To buy it at the Main Ferrari dealers cost 12.00 UK steriling per litre. I rand Shell Distribution Headquaters for the UK and they will sell me it a 4.98 plus tax to me, send it to my house. You must though order a min of 12 litres. Main dealers are rip offs.... |

I'm not sure how much might be available but it looks like I will have an opportunity to start purchasing Shell Helix Ultra at a less than Ferrari level price. I seem to recall reading about dealers charging $14-16 a quart for the stuff, is that accurate? I'm not sure what the price will be yet but if I can get a deal would anybody be interested? I seem to recall 5W-40 being used in the 550, what other grades should I check availability of? |
