As someone who has a good bit of experience with carbon fiber, there is something to be said for buying from someone like Chris Coffing. There is so much that goes into the construction of a piece made of carbon, pictures alone cannot tell the story. Some of the things that you can't get a feel for can make for a terrible product. I'm talking about such things as lay-up schedule, lay-up orientation, resin content, cloth thickness, uniform heating, cooling, finish, voids, pinholes, etc. I think that it would be well worth it to buy from Valence as you know what you're getting, especially UNDER that outer layer of cloth, and with carbon fiber, that makes all the difference.

I like the look of the carbon fibre hand brake lever. Will the F335 be the same as the F348.
Check it out on ebay.

I am not sure. In have spoken to Chris Coffing at Valence and he can make them durable by adding more layers of carbon fibre increasing the thickness. I have seen some F348 in Europe with the door handles in chrome. They look good. I am not sure where to get them done in chrome.

Todd, The footrest is from a GTC F348 Compitizione that was in Italy. The footrest is stamp OMP on the back of it. I know OMP is italian and they sponsor Ferrari with a lot f racing equipment.

You can buy it direct for OMP for about 25.00 pounds UK sterling. They only have one size, its a universal fitting. I know Paul Hill Engineering or making some passenger footrests. I like to see the original one on the car...

i think it will give you a little mor room to use if you need it besides i don't like to look at ashtrays and this way no one will ever even be tempted to smoke. Save the old console just in case you ever sell it though the new person might want to screw his car up by smoking in it

I have ordered the upper and lower consoles for my F348 from Valence, Chris is a cool guy. He is planning to do the F348 Air box in Carbon Fibre. I must have one of them.
I really want a set of internal door handles made in carbon fibre, since they get scatched so easliy when opening the door.

It will be interesting to see how these parts compare with those of Valence, a Ferrarichat sponsor, who are developing the same parts.

Gents,
The carbon fiber project for my 348 has progressed.
The door sills are complete. They are perfect and beautiful. The Mirror backs are done also- perfect. The center gauge surround is also complete and perfect. My 348 TT was the model for the prototypes. Andre out of Montreal has done the work. MANY more pieces are on the way too! All the problem pieces, (melting rubber finish) will soon be available. KAZ Automotive is the way to go, here.
I will post pics as soon as the entire kit is installed. Keep an eye on this thread if your interested.
