Hi Gerald, You have permission to use my horse, Mr. Governor, on the FML cover. I'll see if I can get him to "prance."

Yes, the differences in these two issues is "newstand" vs. "subscriber". At the time Cavallino was being placed on newstands by a national distribution company and they wanted the name "Ferrari" and the extra verbage about contents on the cover to boost sales. Of course subscribers already knew the magazine was about Ferraris. I don't believe this practice continues today because Cavallino is no longer distributed by that company. But look at the prancing horse inside the "O" of Cavallino. You won't find that on later issues. Yes, Ferrari asked them to drop it, just as they asked me to drop it from the Ferrari Market Letter logo. |

Carmine, I agree with David - its to distinguish the subscriber issue from the newstand issue. Now for the real question: Do you have both versions for each affected issue? I certainly don't but am looking for a "hero" to worship. Andy |

Often times the versions with extra "headlines" on the cover (and the barcode) signify that it is the "newstand" version, versus the "subscriber" version... Why they do this, I don't know.... |

well, other than the ones on the right have not text printing, and of course the 'F' banner top left on the left ones, dunno...is it possible Ferrari went after Cavallino for trademark/copyright? They've been real sh*ts about infringments(sp?) in last few years... |

Why do these same issues look different? Pay attention to the upper left corner. Cavallino #58
