I mostly enjoy looking at the backgrounds in the pictures, their always worth a thousand words and dollars, looks like a nice lift. tool boxes, press, or is that a tire machine, pole barn ,knows precisly how many dollars and hours are going into this baby, wheres the other projects, how much is that neighborhood worth, and a SALVAGE TITLE to boot..... |

look at the seats. wear and tear. The car was worth $ 70-$75K before and is worth now $ 45,000 IMOP, if it is all fixed up. Whoever pays $45,000 will end up with a negative hole in their pocket book. However, as this is a non sale you don't have to worry. This guy will never come through. Best if the seller cancels the bid before the end of the auction.

Let's say the car was worth 80K before the accident. After it's fixed perfectly, it's probably worth about 55K because of the title. I don't see how anyone can pay 45K and come out, even with most of the parts included. The 35 bids could be just 2 people, or 1 person and a shill. Dave |

I agree this car can be fixed up. I would pay what the mileage is on the odometer for this baby. This is not a goner. Salvage title becasue the insurance company figured it will cost more in parts and labor to bring this car back to status. The repairs can possibly be done at about $20,000 and the deminished balue due to the branded title would set the car fixed up at $45,000. So there is money to be made.

I agree with Edward, the seller has represented the car well. It also has 35 bids on it as well. I work for a body shop and I do everything from frame pulling to the major bodywork, painting and finishing. It is not that bad of a repair. The problem is the cost of parts, what you pay for the project and the time you intend on spending. But I would never buy a car to keep or sell with a salvage or rebuildable title. The only thing I would do with them is make a race car or use for parts. And like Chris said if you spend 45k and lets say you only spend 15k in parts, because you are doing the work yourself is 60k worth the price of this car? |

Don't blame or get mad at the guy selling the car. It looks like it is pretty well represented as a big time fixer upper. The bidder is the idiot. That car can be fixed but is probably a $20,000 car now. |

Tim N hes probably selling the car because with some people if their car is injured they want to get rid of it..i think its stupid but people think of it that way..Maybe the car only has body damage..if It does it might not cost that much |

Duhh. Thanks David, I forgot to include the link! If this car is worth $45,000 then mine in perfect shape should be worth $115,000. Any takers? |

If this guy says everything is so east to repair, i have two questions for him, 1.) Why does it have a salvage title 2.) If its so easy and cheap to fix, why are you selling the car? oh, and a 3rd. So its not good enough for you but its good enough for me?!?! |

Don't forget--it seems that ebay motors gets a lot of bogus bidding. The high bidder doesn't even have any prior transactions! |

This confirms my previous observations that ebay is a good place to try to sell your problems to someone else. Guy has to be licking his chops thinking about getting 45K plus for this wreck. Seems like cars with stories or high mileage, etc. almost always get good money there while cars that look like honest, good cars go begging. DAve |

Two key words say it all, "salvage title". That car is only good for parts now, imo. I wouldn't touch it for more than $15 - $20 k. The seller seems to say that everything is easily repairable. I think that he knows just the opposite. |

I find it astounding that someone has bid over $45,000 at the time I write this for a car that probably needs at least $30,000 in repairs. People on here have said that a good condition, low miles 348 is worth less than $80,000, so do th math. |
